how come?

    i want to know why my laptop cannot system restore to more than 5 days before... most computers can?? my laptop is compaq presario V3000 series.. thx in advance for an help ^^

    Either the previous restore points have been deleted, or sometimes the disk space allocated for system restore is set so low it can only keep the last few backups.

    i see.. hmm how do i adjust the setting for the allocated memory for system restore? =x

    system properties.-> system restore -> highlight drive and select settings ->
    set disk space available for restore..the max is 12% I believe...:D:D

    err sorry for being a newbie in computers lol. After clicking system properties i do not see any system restore option?

    start->control panel->system->click tab for system restore (usually top left tab)...continue from here..

    If you get to system restore from the stat menu or start->programs->accessories->system tools->system restore..

    there should be a system restore settings in left pane..???????

    thx alot ^^ . i am trying the solutions out now... By the way, is there a way to reformat my laptop running on vista without the use of windows installtion disk?

    thx you all i am now able to reset the allocated memory =D
