Either the previous restore points have been deleted, or sometimes the disk space allocated for system restore is set so low it can only keep the last few backups.

system properties.-> system restore -> highlight drive and select settings ->
set disk space available for restore..the max is 12% I believe...:D:D

start->control panel->system->click tab for system restore (usually top left tab)...continue from here..

If you get to system restore from the stat menu or start->programs->accessories->system tools->system restore..

there should be a system restore settings in left pane..???????
