How do I grant full access

    I need to modify a xml file, In windows vista how do I grant myself full access permission to modify and save an existing xml file?
    please help, x

    Install the reg file, right click on the xml file and select "TakeOwnership".
    Now you can save the xml file.

    if that doesn't work change the name of the XML to Proof.XML not just Proof. IT worked for me

    Don't forget too that some system files (and others) are "read only." Right click the file, then Properties and if the "read only" box is checked, uncheck it.

    ive downloaded the link to grant access to change the proof.xml

    ive then tried to change the alwaysinstalled to neverinstalled and i cant

    i dont know if using mozilla browser and having vista changes anything im a bit of a newbie with all this stuff so if anyone can really explain it id be much appreciated all i wanna do is update my cv lol
