I activated my Win 8.1 VL via a KMS server through the cmd. I've heard this is good for 6 months. However, why do I always see on startup and every few hours: 'KMS connection broker' TWO 'Windows activation client' (slui.exe embedding and -ruleid=) processes on the task manager? are they trying to connect to M$ servers or the server I KMS activated? Why does it do it every few hours and not every 6 months? This I don't like because sometimes I'm using my VPN and I don't want M$ or some server logging the different IP's im using, if that's what those processes are doing..
