They said it would be GA on the 29th, whatever term you want to associate with that is fine and the reality is no version of windows has ever been "done" since the day they started Windows Update.

Now fellow, lets really start a fight over Windows 10 Finished or not...

I have been a Windows Beta Tester starting with Pre-Windows 95.

and Microsoft has NEVER HAD A FINISHED OS. NEVER - NEVER

There is no such thing as a 'finished' OS - if there was, there would be no updates, ever

IMO, RTM = 'Finished' enough to sell

I think its more like ms will release it without any major bugs, would be bad press for them if the pc burst into flames or summoned Satan

You can count on there being a whole bunch of updates when the public gets their hands on the RTM.

well there is never lack of that at MDL :D. We now have wheel mouse follows pointer, transparency of notification/action center, cortana without live account, now if they could only group all the appz into a folder on the start menu, I would prefer windows system or windows admin to clutter the start menu more than all these appz but no those two are all neatly in their own folder.

    Regards

Edit: Why when I disable the search from always cluttering in my task bar I have to scroll through all appz to find it, put it back where it was it was fine there or place a click above power.

You press winkey and start typing, like you did all the way back in Vista. Why do you need a bar to click?

Pro tip: then don't disable the Search Icon and voila full touch support! and if you switch into Tablet-mode the search icon will display even if you deactivate it.

    It's a non issue.

Why do I need it cluttering the task bar and why is the mouse travel so long if it is not? I should say this quietly since I do not want it to disappear but I still enable quick launch on the toolbar and shove it to the right, beside the notification icons, as I am right handed and do not what to pin things or have a search bar on the left where my tasks are open. I am happy you are a keyboard guy however I cut n paste when I can and asked about mouse travel.

    Regards

Edit: Start typing K ty keyboard it is I guess, and advertising is gone :D no right and paste on the start menu

Been nearly a month (or is it exactly a month?) since 10130

10130 was a poor build. They knew that and had to give the beggars on Twitter a chance to vote on its release and you all got 10130 in its buggy glory.

Compare 10130 to 10147. Look at the speed difference and all the bugs that were fixed and keep in mind 10147 wasn't meant for the general public. They still have just over a month to fix even more stuff. They made it clear that 10130 was feature complete and from then on out it's bug smashing and tweaking. If you can't see that they have plenty of time to make it stable as hell, then you're just trolling. Just my opinion on that.

It's tru what people are saying. Nobody has ever released a FINISHED operating system. It can't actually be done when you really think about it.

But if you'd rather drive yourselves nuts by getting all hissy-pissy over no builds being released to insiders or even leaks, go right ahead. Only hurting yourself lol.

Build 10147 is quite good I must say.

However, it still requires huge amount of polish.

    Eg.
    • I was slightly confused while changing a simple thing like screen resolution as the actual resolution adn DPI size was hidden. I MEAN WHY THE FARK DO THEY HAVE TO HIDE RANDOM THINGS EVERY NOW AND THEN????
    • Secondly, Windows Update feels less user friendly. It gives a feeling that it will do whatever it wants to do in the background while giving you the middle finger.
    • Some of the changes are extremely annoying like Quick Access in This PC. When we had favorites, libraries, folders, we need one more thing which does the same thing.
    • OneDrive cannot be disabled no matter what. It hangs in left pane of This PC like some stubborn child.

yeah second that, to know that enterprise is the only one we can have control over the updates download pisses me off ... and yeah again why it must be so complicated to do a simple setup like display settings, clock settings ....

Every iteration of windows since 95 has become less and less friendly

Xp was the most configurable / tweakable version made ever, M$oft gave us a look and feel, good functionality, etc ...

after that little by little they made windows crappier than the one before, I fuc#@$% hate tabbed browsing, since they have come up with this, i've stopped using office for those reasons, in windows the file management become worse, i manipulate a ton of files, and i had to resort to third party software

Regarding OneDrive, try to disable it via group policy and it will go away (Administrative Templates > Windows Components > OneDrive and then enable "Prevent the usage of OneDrive for file storage"). This is how it works on 8.1, I'm not sure if it does on 10 but I don't see why not.

EDIT: Or just search the web for "OneDrive remove from navigation pane" for a registry tweak.
