every single one of the 5 machines has key ending in 3V66T. i know i was paranoid too. lol but after doing it by downloading the update. its the same s**t. i was going to completely go back to my legal copies and download update. but no point. and if for some god awful reason it does go boom.ill just reinstall my paid for 8.1 on a clean install and update. and if ms makes it that difficult ill just use a loader , or buy a key. i got my tablet pro key for 8.1 on esty for 30 bucks so. lol

Retail is always permanent. VOLUME_KMSCLIENT would show 180 days :cool2:.

Funny, and at first I though it was because I'm a insider and I seen it was generic, and they knew I had a few machines with 10. The first second was " oh no, there watching me " :roflmao:

weird thing i downloaded the ms iso. was going to do a clean install this am with it. tried that 3V66t and the posted ms kms keys. nothing would go past all keys failed. i even tried skipping. but kept getting no ms licence term found error. so i figured well let me do the inlaws and see what it is. happy i didnt do a clean disc install. the reset in windows works . thats fine by me for now.

I might not be following this correctly but a CMD,
"" Slmgr.vbs -dli "", shows the time for KMS.

So just ignore this if I'm off track with your question.

So whats to stop anyone updating Windows 10 with the Product Key: VK7JG-###-3V66T since everyone has the same identical key? Does this work?? anyone tried. Probably needs to be online?

Something with this online things, christ knows whats being sent back to Micro"I'll sift through you data" soft.

Forget about keys. The HWID string is complex enough to be UNIQUE, remember default phone activation and that looooong string to enter in phone.

That string becomes your key and gets stored at MS Servers when Upgrade is activated. BINGO!

    There isn't anything else needed.

Just a FYI, once you have installed 1024 Pro RTM, and it is activated, you can install other installations on you same machine and they will be automatically activated. I did two straight VHD installs (the VHD you create in disk manager or diskpart) and both of them automatically activated.

Can someone try the link posted by WZor on his Twitter page? I can't post the link but the title says something like this:
    NEW! KMSAuto Net 2015 v1.3.6 Portable support Win10 RTM & Office 2016

I was wondering, can you upgrade using a retail key. Then install that key on another machine and upgrade that one as well? Do you keep both activations?
