    I wonder why there are a few ppl that can activate 8.1 using KMS.Server.Service.Config.v6.1 and there are a lot of ppl that cant activate using all the steps shown. Where are we failing?

    tested myself 2 tyms now trying with free key i wil update u in 10 mins

    Guys, I will like to clarify, just using the KSS thing with the leaked install keys will activate the installation....? It's confusing

    Nope...you´ll need legit Retail key to activate.

    I have an activated copy of Win 8 Pro (that used KMS to activate), then upgraded to WMC with free key from last year. In this case, should I clean install, or in-place upgrade, and use what keys to ensure the activation is a success?:confused:

    Not shure whether an upgrade will work atm, had no luck so far. Some more should confirm that it´s possible to activate a direct ProWMC install. For me a created ProWMC ISO refused all my keys.

    Installed Pro in Auditmode, activated with Retail Key via phone, then upgraded with my free WMC key to ProWMC and at least Sysprep/Generalize and captured the install as WIM.
    When installing from this, the ProWMC accepts all my keys. What a long way to go...:cool2:.

    Installing Pro with Default Retail Key, than upgrading with Default ProfessionalWMC Retail Key and than entering the free WMC key is working here flawlessly.

    my friend lap sucks just wait taking lot of time to add features
    upgrade again from 8.1 because first time i upgrade from 8 so i got phone activation page not enter new key page after adding wmc using default key

    In order to activate a Win8.1 machine via KMS wouldnt we need a KMS host that is running KMS v6? Or will a KMS v5 host activate a win8.1 client?

    It seems pro default retail key, default WMC key is the way I need to go, clean install. Both keys should be done offline first? WMC key needs to be connected online to activated? thanks! edit : sorry, btw can you provide the last set of codes for both default keys for both for reference, so that it's easier for people to reference which default keys to look for? Edit 2 : default Pro : - C9WKB and default pro WMC -JK7QT ?

    Dear All,

    While trying to activate using Phone Activation, dialing UK number. But when I press "1" in keyboard as well as on the screen, the automated message says "no key pressed". What do I do ?

    I tried the method in the first post but am getting the same errors with WMC when entering my upgrade key. I formatted and installed 8.1 pro again and activated using a legit dreamspark key. Have to do without MWC for now. Can I now add WMC on an activated system and use my WMC upgrade key. I hate to add WMC and it does not activate, then have to format again.

    everything fine instead of cmd prompt u can enter key in pc settings activation page and for me do need data file and all :D 3 times worked
