    if uhav free wmc key i can help i dnt hav any key right gave it to my friends dude
    u have free wmc key ? tv id pass?

    Has anyone been able to activate with a WMC upgrade key after doing a clean install of Win 8.1 pro activated with a legit dreamspark key.

    try some other activation method from this website or wait fr kms i too dont have wmc key right now srry

    Used method in OP and worked perfectly.

    I then reformatted and tried activating directly without swapping data.dat but it failed.

    Swapped data.dat and again worked perfectly.

    Just an information. M$ block keys for further activations, so you're gonna stay activated even if your used key is blocked. Cheers.

    data.dat not need u said ? dats 8 pro to 8.1 pro or 8 prowmc to 8.1 pro
    i cannot make skype call uk asking skype credit :(i have my installation id any 1 can giv activation code for that ? for me data trick not necessary i did without data trick i know why now i gt it :)

    i have genuine wmc so i dnt need data.dat trick but i have another free wmc key i m in laste step i cannot call uk in skype :( no credit :( if i give installation idplease can you pass activation id please help me bro
