When using /LimitAccess switch, no internet needed, only in case improper/non-matching files are found on the install media it would need an internet connection. Did this several times the last months offline.
Recommend testing without data.dat first, in case it refuses to accept the key, try with that data.dat. Playing with license files might fubar the licensing.
how do you want me active with internet codes "without" internet ? With the OEM codes (XP VISTA 7) with RETAI CODE VUP Windows 8.0 + WMC legal versions are automatically activated with internet ! No KMS , no DISM, no phone, no data.dat, no xxxx.WIM !! WMC actived with internet ! A C T I V E D !!!!! Your explanation is summed up in one picture. Do not confuse VUP Retail and Retail WMC to "RETAIL" (279€) it's your problem ... WMC to "VUP RETAIL OEM" (14€-30€-60€) or "OEM" (100-130€) it's my problem ... thank's
Wasn´t talking about activation, obviously that needs internet for Retail keys. But not the .NET integration. BTW: my last test to do this online for Win 8.1 via the GUI failed due to missing these files online so far.
I understand your problem. NET I suggest you implement .NET BEFORE language pack (for our UK friends for example). I used the original 9600 DVD WZT to implement .NET 3.5 with the DISM command. Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /source:"X:\sources\sxs" /LimitAccess Nb: /online = with windows update I used it and ALL installations .NET 3.5 went smoothly.
Afaik that /online switch is overwritten by /LimitAccess, and only defines that it´s used on the installed system in opposit to the similiar procedure in mounted WIM. Installed in my VM with disconnected internet with no problem. Also atm Windows Update doesn´t offer that files, so how should that work then.
Not quite. /online = update the currently running image /LimitAccess = don't use the Internet; use source specified
without /limitaccess order, the system will not put themselves up to date. I'm no implantation in a WIM, the system activates it s even. Adding additional modules .NET, you download files on windows update. I can assure you, this is why I left "/online" in the command line implantation. but I understand that you have other problems with the "RETAIL" versions for .NET 3.5 and code WMC. I hope you find the solution, I am here to show you and prove my setup (in french) Windows 8.1 Pro VUP MCE .NET 3.5 all enabled by the Internet.
