    It is not working without data.dat,once you upgraded 8.1 Pro to 8.1 Pro with WMC and you try to install your Media Center upgrade key it will tell you that the key is for upgrade only,so basically you need to have 8.1 Pro activated before using that key,data.dat tricks it so it thinks it's activated.

    Is there a way to activate with no valid data.dat and 0xC004F061 (Upgrade-only key).

    Nope...after upgrading it works without data.dat.

    the partial key from the activation you showed was not a key from your pastebin. It seems now it's only possible to activate with a retail key. The only grace is rearming to notification mode, right?

    I have Win 8 Pro WMC activated with my WMC upgrade key but I had to actually activate by phone. Should I be OK to upgrade to 8.1 using my WMC key and will it stay activated?

    nope, you have to install and be activated before using your WMC key.

    Why does it count down the rearm then? I tried it. it counted down to 999 rearms, still in same in notification mode. I followed your lead on using your tool, now many are hung out to dry, it's no biggy, just wonder where you got you retail key that was partially posted in your activation post, as it's not one from the pastebin you posted.

    Activation works and the key can be added while adding the WMC feature, it'll still work. :)

    Same here. When I had Windows 8 Pro. We'll see what's gonna be with our Win 8.1 activations.:D

    Any idea how to activate office 2013 on top of windows 8.1 now? :rolleyes: M$ Toolkit crashes.

    I bought Windows 8-embedded laptop and I guess product key is included in BIOS.

    But when I install WZOR's 8.1 rtm, it says like this::

Error code: 0xC004C003



The activation server determined the specified product key has been blocked.
    How can I activate using my Windows8 OEM key?

    When using kms server where do I type in activation key can someone explain all the steps from start to finish.

    you cannot use KMS w/ 8.1. If you don't have a retail key for 8.0 your stuck for now. Many in the same boat, NO solution for now, stay tuned

    Can you give me instructions from start to finish on how to activate using your script. and at which point do I use one the the keys from pastebin.
