    Well just to confirm what most already knew, I installed Win8 ENT (activated with legit MAK) and upgraded to Win8.1 ENT. Win8.1 Ent upgrade inputs the GVLK for itself and will not except the MAK originally used before upgrade. BTW, the upgrade takes a long time (save info etc). So now at least I know for a fact it does not work for me lol

    Upgrade was done immediately after Win8 Ent was installed and activated, no updates or 3rd party anything installed btw.

    Use your own legit retail keys or hope for good news from KMS frontline.

    yeah legit retail keys work great for pro, no problems there and permanently activated.

    most likely because 10000000 people used them or tried already.

    Wonder how the upgrade will come to regular users who are activated on 8.0 in October from the store?? If it installs like a service pack and doesn't deactivate them then great but if it is installing as a new OS and deactivates everybody then there are going to be some mad people.

    Is it possible to activate a clean install of the MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.RTM.X64.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT using the the Key originality obtained via MS phone activation from a copy of Windows.8.pro.X64.RTM-WZT without WMC ?

    Be aware...messing with the Tokens might fubar the system. Happend for me several times :hmm:.

    done upgrading my 8.1 to pro wmc, but i didnt replace the data.dat cause i cant find the download link, tried to call using skype and not verified.
