How to convert Office 2010 Retail Installation to Office 2010 VL ??

    1. Retail Edition requires a Valid Key to even install, where as Volume Edition can be installed without a Key.
    2. Unfortunately, both Editions need to be Activated.
    3. So far there are methods to Activate Volume Edition but there are no methods to Activate Retail Edition.

    TIP: You can also copy folder Admin to have Office Customization Tool. ;)

    AnyOne who wish to activate Office 2010 ProPlus permanently,then just PM me,I will give them a MAK Key with 231 activations left..
    Note: Only by PM,don't post anything here,it is against the MDL rules...

    crazy idea: convert VL to RETAIL. An activated VL would lead to an activated RETAIL.
    wishful thinking off course.

    I can confirm One thing,a MAK key for Office 2010 ProPlus got via technet has 1000 activations..

    @pkaji123: yes you have bragging right lol...

    In general I think this messes up the activation software specifically the Office protection service if you try to convert it to a retail version but if you do a full up conversion it will just be a retail copy n you loose the activation that your going for....

    I have already installed Office ProPlus VL which does not has Visio and Project.

    How can I install Visio and Project?

    When I try to install I get

    "Error 1713. Setup cannot install one of the required products for Microsoft Ofice Visio 2010."

    I downloaded the X86 from the following and I am using X86 (32bit) ProPlus version at the moment.
