Interesting fact: I ran the OGA on microsoft.com/activate and it says that my copy is genuine. But this could be from my legit office 2007 (which I have already un-installed). Not sure if it detected the office 2010
I also show my Office 2010 as Genuine and I formatted my hard drive, reinstalled windows 7 and then Office 2010 and it came up legitimate...so, I know the OGA for Office 2010 is out.
I've got 3 passed validation computers with office 2010 retail with widely known key. Maybe the problem is with volume only?
But i cannot, still it says the sam thing "No Office products eligible for validation were found on this computer"..
hello guys, i have a version of Office 2010 Pro Plus MSDN-Retail, is there any way to activate it without first converting it to VL ?
That one's easy: use a valid key. lol. Just kidding, people are working on it but there isn't any public solution now.
something like that i guess, as i saw a few pages back on some screenshoots from you in post #167, you have actived both retail and VL channel and i'm interested if i can activate my retail copy without first converting it to VL, i have installed it using a key found on the net on my wife's laptop i have activate it using your 1'st method (Retail2VL.bat + mini_KMS for 180 days), is there any solution to my question ?! thanks
ok, i got it now so far, the only solution for MSDN-Retail activation is by converting it to VL and use the KMS_Activator, right ? thanks in advance for your prompt answers
yep, i tried that method yesterday on a friend's pc (Office.2010.Pro.Plus. MSDN-Retail) i have followed the steps exactly and when if finished, this is the result: oops, it seems that i can't post screenshoots links...(i will try sending a PM to you) anyway, as i said, after the activation i end up with 2 licenses: 1. License name: Office 14 - OfficeProPlus Msdn Retail edition License description: Office 14, Retail Channel License Status: ---OOB_GRACE--- ........ Remaining GRACE: 30 days 2. License name: Office 14 - OfficeProPlus-KMS_Client edition License description: Office 14, VOLUME_KMSCLIENT Channel License Status: ---LICENSED--- ............... Remaining GRACE: 180 days is it ok or both of them should display: Licensed ?!
Hi, the links to get WZOR files are broken, could you upload them to another server? Other thing, the output version (VL) is activated? Thanks for your support.
It is OK. Now you can remove Retail license if you want: cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:<your_partial_product_key>
ok, now i think i understand, i can use the first method (post #1) to convert it to VL and activate using KMS and i will have only one license available for VL, or i can use the mixed channel tokens.dat method and have both retail and VL licenses shown inside Office... ok until now but, if both Retail and VL licenses are activated now, isn't it better to remove the VL license that expires in 180 days and use the Retail one that is permanently activated ?! (as shown in post #167) or am i missing something ?!
Retail keys get blacklisted very easily (unless you had 1 for yourself and you don't get it to anyone that is not the case for people here!) KMS key is a General Volume License Key (GVLK), so MS cannot blacklist it. That is the reason why I say KMS ACTIVATION IS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER METHOD.
