If you want install Visio, you must convert Retail version Visio to VL version : - Download Visio from MSDN ( Retail version ). - Extract the file downloaded whith this command : Code: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.exe /extract:C:\Visio where xxxxxxxxxx.exe is the file downloaded and C:\Visio, the directory where you want extract this. - Delete the VisioR.WW directory ( Retail ) in C:\Visio - Download the Visio.WW ( WZOR directory ) here : - Extract this directory in C:\Visio. You have now a VL version in C:\Visio You can install directly or burn on CD. Excuse my poor english
Appreciate for your prompt reply. I already have ProPlusVL Edition in HD. (Not Select but COMBO) Do I have to download the MSDN version. Is there a way either to integrate Visio with that (ProPlusVL Edition) or to install Visio as a stand alone package?
You can download Visio here : ( arabic, english, french, german, hebrew ). If you want merge Visio and ProPlusVL, just copy Visio.WW directory and Visio.en-us directory ( example for english version ) into the ProPlusVL I think that's all.
I downloaded Visio from Visio.WW Megaupload : and copied the folder to my existing ProPlus. When start the setup, I select add new, there Visio is not displayed for me to select. Any idea?
Integration of Visio Premium and Project Professional in Office Professional Plus - Volume Edition If you copy Visio.WW & Visio.en-us folders from Visio Premium folder; PrjPro.WW & Project.en-us from Project Professional folder to Office Professional Plus folder and run Setup, you will get options to install Office Professional Plus, Project Professional and Visio Premium. The problem is you still need to install them one after the other. You would still need three different keys and three different activations.
Seems that way from what I can see too cause it appears they took out Project Pro and Visio from the main install of Office 2010 as there are a few clues here and there that it was supposed to be included into one big installer package its just that they cut a few links here and there so that it wasn't possible. this is very much apparent in the Setup.XML file where you will find a few hints that it was taken out..... And Yes I have known about this for sometime I just deemed it not worth mentioning it was just ooo thats curious.... I concur with you....
OK I downloaded the dutch trial from MSDN , so what do I have to do ?Install with product key and how to activate? I read all the pages but it's still confusing! Do I have to switch the dutch trial with the files ProPlus.WW ? Will this work on a dutch version ? I have no idea what to do!
The link is for MSDN version. Will it work with Retail version setup? Is it possible to get a working link for the (english) language pack (Visio.en-us)
The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable. Is it possible to get a working link for the (english) language pack (Visio.en-us)?
Where in setup.xml do you find that? I don't know much about xml but I can only find things like "if edition is this then value = 1 if edition is that then value = 2 etc". The only place where I can see the exact edition is noticed is in the proplus.ww folder. And ospp.vbs from proplusr.ww (retail) and proplus.ww (vl) is the same. I don't want to undermine what you say at all, cause you have been digging into office for a while now, but can you please be a bit more precise about all this? Cause when I convert retail to vl I want to get as close as possible to the official MS ones, I don't like halfly moddified versions verry much.
