Difference between ProPlusrWW.xml and ProPlusWW.xml ProPlusrWW.xml from Retail (of course ): Size: 17,254 CRC: BDBB0FA7 ProPlusWW.xml from VL: Size: 17,252 CRC: 10697698 Their difference is: 1) signature values in line 2 Retail: <!--_SIG=scNUISxHcjiLGFcknRm878tDM6Lpmo0lzdBaoSvDKs5owXManAHqv42DpwvYI8ywqJK1ANCN4Pyi1OhUrBZCa6hEepYYvZ03Qmd+G9/hF0f1TYMzP8MjNdzxRMWM66Nm2ALzleaNvZZVTJmOlmFF5TOU8vBJwrg4dUEvosMs83M=--> VL: <!--_SIG=HbbBMI1aS4KZ2orZUQIRDy5MDWKfNyMDakMEoKQLDozTsIFwqwrSKfnoncQvRhb5HEcMQTxk2J1kbO2i3K5xQ7Z0cD5wzArTsyGx+O8IW390007P2cYzPu12x+yaLzAuXO4N329pQ06QptLprLNSjrqSpkrdWA/bdF9r0VVVMyE=--> [Note: Size is the same] 2) pakage name in line 3 Retail: Package Id="ProPlusrWW" Path="ProPlusrWW.MSI" ProductCode="{91140000-0011-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}" VL: Package Id="ProPlusWW" Path="ProPlusWW.MSI" ProductCode="{90140000-0011-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}" [Note: Retail edition has 2 more bytes (two more r's)] *** If you modify ProPlusrWW.xml and apply the changes that I mentioned above (I changed the filename to ProPlusWW.xml too!!!) you get the same exact file as ProPlusWW.xml from VL edition. I don't know where these signatures came from. Maybe they have sth to do with those digital signatures!
Nice work!! How did you extract the msi? "msicexec /a pathtomsi /qb TARGETDIR=pathtotargetdir" doesn't work, neither does lessmsierables
Pretty much but you guys are still laggin as you have yet to figure out where all the SKUIds are stored because they are on there and if you can combine the retail and Volume copies then you will be able to make a franken retail/volume build.... You've got about 25% of whats in there but you still haven't connected all the dots to see where this goes.... I'm just going to nudge you a little but there is much more to the SKUIDs than what you see.... And you haven't hit the registry values yet too....
Nope you guys might have the Id's but you guys still haven't hit upon the master storage point which tells you exactly which skuid corresponds to said version.... Pretty much the master list is stored on the machine to tell the OSPP.vbs what edition its using.... If you get it right you can change it to any version you want and theres over 50 editions out there.... And no I'm not joking....
It may be I don't get it all but letsgoawayhell compared the install files and the ONLY differences are in proplusWW folder. So smorgan, why are you talking aout registry values? If all differences in that folder are found and changed, isn't that just a real vl setup then? Of course switching the edition of an already installed office is a lot more then switching installer edition, but that's not what he's doing atm.
Guys, I need 3 files from Beta edition. 1- pkeyconfig-office.xrm-ms 2- tokens.dat 3- ospprun.exe can someone upload them for me? (RS preferred) * Update: Never mind, I dled it.
This conversion with the folders of select Edition by WZOR is only for English language or work in other thx
Doesn't matter, I need them in my experiments. Wanna take a look at skuid's inside them. And the exe file i wanna take a look at it and see if i can run it for VL and Retail editions. * Update: Never mind, I dled it.
All of the SKU's are the same becuase they are all from the same installer note I have already checked this by comparing setup.xml files from at least 2 other users online... The Volume and retail editions are different so you would have to make a frankenbuild of office 2010 which I'm not saying is a good or bad thing just letting you know.... Also the SKU's are defined through a master list stored on your computer so they'll 99.99% of the time will be the same at this time when it hits retail they'll start to change thou... For you though all the SKU's will be the same with those files the only difference will be this: In setup.xml it will 1A2B3C In the tokens.dat and cache.dat it will be a mix of 1A2B3C and 1 A 2 B 3 C If you need further help just PM me...
Yes, that becoz some are ASCII and some are Unicode. I am analyzing token.dat for now. And I was able to change an already installed VL into Retail. But I am still working on this. I'll let you know about new results.
Lol thats the easy part except I haven't gotten around to trying to make a frankenbuild which would be a Volume and Retail copy at the same time...
