Maybe by just downloading the esd file which is released by MS? Check my sig for all official released (Retail) ESD files.

    1) Remove boot.wim and install.wim from sources\ directory
    2) Capture root directory as yourfile.wim index 1
    3) export yourfile.wim index 1 to yourfile.esd
    4) export boot.wim index 1 to yourfile.esd
    5) export boot.wim index 2 to yourfile.esd
    6) export install.wim index 1 to yourfile.esd
    7) export install.wim index 2 to yourfile.esd

What is the purpose of creating an esd file (and i don't mean an install.esd) you can't use without reconverting it to iso? The one you want to create already exists and you simply can download it.
