The simple way is to go under System > Advanced Config > Hardware > Manager Hardware Install
And set to option : No, let me choose > Never install driver from Windows Update

I used the same method that Ozymandias posted. It is the only solution that worked for me.

This one didn't work with 10130, I had tried it.

That does nothing! drivers are still downloaded through Wincrap updates and installed with no user choice like in Win 7 or 8 updates! screw you Micro$haft!

If set your connection as mettered, windows update will not auto downloaad, another way you can open notepad and copy below codes, then save as a .reg file and run it, this code try to add windows update icon in control panel, but in new build not working and stop windows update, then your problem will be resolve ;)

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX]
    "IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled"=dword:00000000

Did I mis read the original TITLE How to Disable auto AMD update, remove the AMD Utility... and if you have ATI Issues remove the ATI Utility.
they both get added ONLY IF YOU CHOSE.

LOL yeah you misread it. IT has to do with the AMD forced display driver through Win 10 Windows update. The driver can and does cause hellish issues for people. We have been complaining about the forced install since it first appeared.

Yea, the latest Win10 drivers are by far the best...15.200.1023.5 They stay up 99% of the time...and if ever the CCC crashes inexplicably it can be fixed by opening Programs & Features, selecting the AMD Catalyst Install Manager and selecting the "repair" function...(I finally found a reason to actually use that function!) It's unstable 1% of the time because 10130 itself is still unstable. With the older WDDM 2.0 Catalysts in earlier builds I was fortunate if I could get the CCC to stay up for longer than 5 minutes...

Exactly, same here on a pc with a radeon 6450.
That's why the "Windows Kiddy Sandbox" $119 Windows 10 Home version will be a 100 percent supercrap piece,
having no more updates management and forced updates.
I don't recommend Windows 10 anymore for now until better fact news show up.
Some stupid ideas right now on track ...

    No I didn't. I gave up.

@Nexus76 I was thinking the same when I was fighting with this driver. I feel pity already for "Home" users.

It's impossible to recommend it, as we all know the failing upgrade experiences in the last few years.
A normal user won't be able to revert and even doesn't know how to get out of a reboot loop easily.
Even I paid $30 to upgrade from Vista Ultimate to Windows 8 Pro, that's a pretty fair price and for Microsoft
best for gaining a better market share. I really hope they do DSP versions, cause I read there will be no upgrade
special offer for win xp and vista users.
An expert would never use a home version but fewest of all Win10Home in that shape.
