Yes I've used the script for LTSC (I've Office 2021 ProPlus converted to LTSC). It loads the new UI the first time I open but then it reverts back to old UI. I've tried to add the retail key manually as you suggested but nothing changed. I'll try a fresh Office installation.
Thanks! Now it seems to work fine, only thing I noticed it's now activated as Office Mondo 2016. Does it affect Office 2021 functions or it just a name change?
It's not "Mondo 2016" - it uses Mondo 2016 licenses to VL activate it, it's bang up to date Office 365 and will continue to update fine. ProPlus becomes LTSC when VL activated. I can't explain the bit about Mondo licenses, maybe if @abbodi1406 sees this he can explain why the Mondo licenses. Glad you got it sorted.
I still have this problem, even using fixed script (Visual UI 365 Edition ~ NEW.zip), word shows new UI only once & then shows old UI & it's above bar (where autosave located) bellow ribbon! only excel shows new UI & all other apps have old one
Verify if you're getting the Office Mondo 2016 License on the Office app, run the script with admin permits. For me it's been working fine and with the new UI since I applied the new script.
I going check it again EDIT not work for me, maybe bad luck, i just convert to mondo VL simple way ever
Hi all, sorry for my bad english. I have Office 2021 ProPlus converted to LTSC with KMS_VL_ALL v45. To have the visual refresh, I have to use "Visual UI 365 Edition ~ NEW", not "Visual Refresh UI [New]", and apply it as admin, right? Thx in advance
No, there are actually guides and the scripts and animation showing the procedure for LTSC posted just above - watch the animation!
Regarding the post a couple above about LTSC on MonthlyEnterprise or Current channel and its different version and build numbers. This .reg key makes the change, run update after applying. Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ; Microsoft Offic LTSC Professional Plus 2021 - Update Channel ; MS publish: PerpetualVL2021 is the only update channel available for Office LTSC Professional Plus 2021 and Office LTSC Standard 2021 ; docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/ltsc2021/update ; It will also work and update fine on Current channel. Noticeable that on this channel it will be a higher version and build number. ; Values for updatechannel are: MonthlyEnterprise or Current ; Run Office update after applying this registry key. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\office\16.0\common\officeupdate] "updatebranch"="Current"
For me, even though I had a valid activated ProPlus 2021 gray-market license, the Visual Refresh stopped working when the initial Grace license expired. Office at first run checks the license validation, then adds or deletes the values from CurrentSkuIdAggregationForApp which are needed by the Visual Refresh. Therefore I had to add back the values to CurrentSkuIdAggregationForApp and disable access rights inheritance for this particular registry branch, then remove my user's Write rights. Thus Office no longer can delete the expired SkuIds and has Visual Refresh every time. As a conclusion, if you want Visual Refresh on a certain license type, you still have to add the SkuIds for a compatible version (e.g. mondo), disable write rights of CurrentSkuIdAggregationForApp in registry to make it stick and run the reg file with the 3 flags for Visual Refresh.
Same here. The Visual Refresh disappeared after the (4 days) grace period and reverted back to the default interface. This game of cat and mouse gets funnier and funnier...
mondo key will work with Visual Refresh only as long as Mondo License is in active period, otherwise Office will delete the mondo SkuIds from aggregation branch.
