great work, thanks for confirming, so i am going just to use the snip i posted as dont need to convert to retails and clean key keys. loving it thanks
If LTSC it needs the retail key for Visual Refresh, removing it will break the Visual Refresh. See this post and a few posts after it, as you'll see there It will still KMS activate fine.
You probably only need to install the key if the registry key protection is not done. Note: {FBDB3E18-A8EF-4FB3-9183-DFFD60BD0984} is ProPlus {CE5FFCAF-75DA-4362-A9CB-00D2689918AA} is Pro It would probably be better to set the ID of ProPlus or/and o365 or/and mondo. (I didn't try)
I install LTSC Volume Channel, and script work fine now. with Original ID from your post, with the key protection. Code: 1>nul 2>&1 reg add "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Licensing\CurrentSkuIdAggregationForApp" /f /v "%%#" /t REG_SZ /d "{FBDB3E18-A8EF-4FB3-9183-DFFD60BD0984},{CE5FFCAF-75DA-4362-A9CB-00D2689918AA},"
Hello everyone. I am very confused about how to make the UI change appear for my Mondo install. Can I apply the registry patch without doing anything? I am concerned about doing something that would cause me to lose my activation.
Alright. I was just not sure if this was the only step I had to take or if it is something more. Also, do we know if Microsoft is making this feature available as a staged rollout or if it's never going to come to existing Mondo installs?
Well, I haven't tried applying the registry patch yet because I need my Office install to be stable right now, so I am waiting until I can afford to break it. Interestingly enough, I am working on a project in Office right now that involves having Word and PowerPoint open. When I opened PowerPoint, the new UI appeared and I had a popup about the change. Outlook and Word were already open at this point and do not have it applied. I am wondering if when I restart Word and Outlook, the new UI will appear for those as well, but I have not taken the time to try it just yet because I am too busy.
Highly unlikely that you'll break your Office by applying the registry keys for Visual Refresh in Office 365 (Mondo), I've done it tons of times helping @zucrin test stuff. LTSC won't get Visual Refresh (officially).
Awesome! Thank you! Ironically, just as I started to research this, the change happened automatically, but I will keep that in mind for my other computers when I finally have a chance to try it out!
Short question. I have found a screenshot with Mica style of Windows 11 (somehow similiar to Fluent, Aero...). Should this already work? Or it is a planed feature and not out yet? I am using version 2110 Build 14527.20276 on Windows 11 Version 21H2 Build 22000.348. The Mica style is enabled (you see e.g. settings app), but it's not in Office after running the attached reg here To see what I am talking about, I have attached a screenshot. Top = Mica, Bottom = without, the way it looks now on my PC.
Microsoft.Office.Excel.TestGate.NightMode Spoiler: Additional SVRefresh.UseMica FluentSVRefresh FluentSVMenuRefresh FluentSVBackstageRefresh UseFluentSVTouchModeSpacing UI value - not tested (need Windows 11). Backstage: Office version 2112 (build 14725.00000). Didn't check which version is available. Most likely not lower 2112 build 147xx.xxxxx.
Hi, i have a retail activated office 2021 and i can´t see the new UI. If I enter to the registry i can see for example for Word: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentConfigs\ExternalFeatureOverrides\word] "Microsoft.Office.UXPlatform.FluentSVRefresh"="true" "Microsoft.Office.UXPlatform.RibbonTouchOptimization"="true" "Microsoft.Office.UXPlatform.FluentSVRibbonOptionsMenu"="true" Any ideas? PD: The banner shows Office 2021
