Find and download HP's DMIFIT software. You may be able to enter the missing information directly via the BIOS.
Usually the bios looses that information if you flash the SPI chip with an external programmer or if you try to remove passwords. You will need to re-enter all the information manualy. 1-Search on your laptop for the following numbers that are near/below the battery Serial number: Part Number: Model: PCID: 2- Next open the RAM cover and see if the mac address is there and take note of those numbers Go to: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/slp-marker-file-update-utilities.9055/ and search for the latest nbdmifit. You will need to boot that tool in pure MS-DOS mode and run nbdmifit.bat and follow the instructions. Please check if your computer can go online using the ethernet connection and if windows is activated after doing this

Thank you very much ! tony,
Ok. With that laptop you will need to use wndmifit (runs in windows) but you need to unlock MPM I don't know the exact method for that laptop, but most of the times pressing WindowsKey+UP+DOWN while pressing the power button should do the trick. If not, you might need to reflash that bios using an external programmer. On the first 10 boots after a clean bios is flashed, MPM is unlocked and a warning message is displayed on the boot screen.
Good for you. if you could tell us how you managed to solve the problem, that would be beneficial for all the members who will face the same issue in the future.
