I needed a french 32bits version of Vista (with SP2 already installed) so I decided to download the English iso and change the language inside the install.wim file.

I though of using the guide for Windows 7

But a lot of the commands don't work when you are using a Vista WIM image (I tried to run those commands on a computer running 7 and 8 and they don't work).

I managed to install the language package into the wim, but now I want to remove the english language package.

Since I don't know its name, I run "Dism /Image:path /Get-Packages" but it is not a valid command with a vista image...

How do i remove the english lp (and set the french one as default)?

    Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. Windows Download Integrator said it removed the English lp, but Windows still installed in English.

But after a little more digging, I was able to find the original French SP2 x86 iso on the newsgroups.
