just open the iso file, go to "sources" and delete the file named "ei.cfg"! Save the iso, and run "Setup.exe"! that´s all! :D

ps: Windows 7 beta keys only work with the Ultimate edition :)

    Activate, No. :(
Running it for a month or so (i.e. untill the next version is leaked) without Activating, Yes. ;)

With all due respect to Mr./Mrs./Miss. ZaForD, one can activate other editions with a patch made by Orbit30. I activated Home Premium, just to see if I could.

No real need to do this since the RC will be good until next March and if you are using a free OS, why not use the best version. I did run into one issue with the HP install, Diskeeper would not install. I had installed it in every other build of Ultimate. Whether this relates to the activation method or not, I have no idea.

...just my experience on the topic... YMMV;)

    I don't get it.

Why should you use home premium or lower instead of ultimate ?

Just to see if you can - it is that spirit of adventure thing.

    Home Premium is less bloated.

Lesser editions tend to be lighter....

Some of the lower versions also have features and settings that Enterprise/Ultimate don't have.
