my bad... i include the HCSwitch into same usb 3 driver causing it problem. It works now .. Thanks for reply bro.. appreciated
I tried this but it wouldn't work for me so I had to resort to USB 2 It nearly drove me mad trying to do it and I got to thinking if somebody more talented than me could write a bit of software to do it for daft old gits like me who have trouble writing their name? Just browsing thro the forum it seems a number of peeps have this, or are not aware of the cause, of the problem
How about to make that dynamically loaded by using the drvload.exe to the .inf file as the integration might causing issues such as incompatible file version of the USB Hub driver, etc. Consider if we can use the devcon.exe to see if the device (USB Host Controller or USB Hub) exists or not. (so far the Intel USB 3.0 v1 devices on Intel 7 series motherboards are incompatible with the Intel USB 3.0 v2+ drivers.)
anyone tested WinNTSetup from msfn.org/board/topic/149612-winntsetup-v385/ ? imo its best, i use with created livecd win7 (info on reboot.pro) or easy2boot if boot from usb
For faster installs (if you have a larger usb drive) you can try normal wim compression vs ultra, extracting the files from wim should be a little faster
Thanks Rakeesh. Worked fine here on HP PAV DV6 6xxx. Using HP supplied Renesas driver, No Worries. When I bought this machine it had about 3 disks full of bloatware with it - found all the drivers eventually. Blessings. Mickey
As you known, index:1 is for recovery, index:2 is for installation of Windows 7. Can we integrate USB 3.0 to boot.wim for both index?
I regularly do test installs of w7 from usb because i am an NTLite user(and forum member). the only problem installing from usb2 drives is the copying over the test build to the drive in the 1st place, depending on the folder size. but with slim w7 test builds, that does not take too long anyway. if i do a full w7 test, it takes a while copying those files over, so i just grab a coffee, or go for a wee . once i start the stup from usb2, its quick with either a full or a slim build.
My laptop: Asus ux31a, has EFI, SSD is GPT Operation: slip usb3 drivers into Boot.WIM, then install Win7 on this thing. I basically did what OP told to do and used the intel usb3 drivers from the Asus-laptop website. In the package was; iusb3hub.inf iusb3xhc.inf (all x64) Operation OK. Then the laptop wont boot from this Win7 Bootable USB. It says: *FreeDOS* - Remove any devices and restart to select boot order. But after restoring the Boot.WIM file to original. The Win7 does start. Problem: Win7 installation will crash after reset on this laptop. Because the USB-ports are USB3 and Windows7 does not recognize these USB3 ports. So I need this USB3 driver modification to work. Any clues why this doesn't work?
usb needs to be wiped totally and remade fat32 then extract the win7.iso to it and fix EFI folder for the .efi file for w7 x64 in command prompt admin diskpart list disk select disk (probably 1 or 2 .. the usb) clean exit then slipstream usb3 drivers. now it should boot with efi on usb not freedos
