    the correct command is

    Code:
    XCOPY "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\amd64\DISM\imagex.exe"
use "" in path where space is present

have you extracted the .ISO to the W8 folder? or just put the ISO file in the folder

ERROR: Could not open boot sector file "etfsboot.com"
Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

From this (earlier on in MSMG's instruction) ...

    XCOPY "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\amd64\Oscdimg\etfsboot.exe"

I think it's a typo - it should be etfsboot.exe not etfsboot.com. That's why you got the error; there is no etfsboot.com.

    The correct code:

    C:\Windows\system32>OSCDIMG.EXE -betfsboot.exe -u2 -h -m -lW81ProWMC C:\W8 C:\en
    _windows_8.1_pro_wmc_x64.iso

the file inside XCOPY "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\amd64\Oscdimg\etfsboot.exe" is etfsboot.com not .exe look at the properties so

    OSCDIMG.EXE -betfsboot.com -u2 -h -m -lW81ProWMC C:\W8 C:\en_windows_8.1_pro_wmc_x64.iso works

Yep, same here, was asking myself what you need to do, to get that size for the WIM. Even my Win 8 ProWMC WIM with all current updates and other stuff enabled has atm about 4.7 GB.

Yeah my best guess is 2 copys of install.wim in source folder or they placed the .iso in C:/W8 then extracted it to C:/W8 so when it compiled it compiled all the extracted content + the iso.

Can't think of anything else it could have been. I am still a little confused by EI.CFG so many people saying put 1 and so many others saying 0.

    Unfortunately that sounds doable :cool2:.

regarding ei.cfg: It doesn´t play any matter here for clean install, but not played with the entries to get the upgrade working :hmm:.

Ah cool, yeah I tried 3 different methods so far. This one, that automated .bat and the one FaiKee posted. :) I never bother with upgrading anyway. Would be very nice to find a guide that would allow for a simple menu with options of what tokens/data/key to install. When you have 5 PC's its a pain in the ass to make a ProWMC iso for all 5. Would be nice to be able to make one with options on boot to select what computer you are using. Oh well early days heh.

That Tokens Swap Trick was already disabled once by MS, and that the silent way without any Update via WU :hmm:.

Will wait at least till GA, what happens this time :D.

I keep reading about people saying this. The thing is as soon as WMC free keys came out i made a ProWMC ISO using a MAK activated Windows 8 PRO data/token + Free key. That Mak key has been blacklisted for ages now i think. However i was always able to install with my free WMC key on the custom ProWMC.ISO i made. It has never failed on me still works with all updates installed and everything. Was always activated on install also on that same PC no phone activation nothing.

Maybe it was for people who used KMS keys or something :S
