    They've updated the SLIC v2.1 thread now. I want to thank you for this guide. I'd probably still be trying to figure this all out. :)

    hy busykid... so but not when making: C:\windows\system32\slmgr -ato
    iam also confused ...
    why ist the rtm productkey differnt to slp-key??
    so than it will not realy activated and by next windowsupdate all useless?!

    I dont know what you mean by rtm product key. There is only a slp oem key. If you think this can be defeated, you need to read up more on how this works. This method has been around since vista and is nothing new.

    Yes I did, at the end of the post I said that. But I would like to know I way to be 100% sure that I did a right bios mod and that the bios I flashed to my MB is really a SLIC 2.1 one :B

    Thanks to the wonderful help, I'm not using the RTM version anymore :)
    (Also my Vista is still working)

    Now I've got an HP Award Bios for a GA-MA69GM-S2H
    Where do I upload it to ?
    (BIOS Modified from the F6 Version on Gigabyte, so it's the most current version for that Motherboard)

    "no space insert module" what does this mean?

    I tried to modify my award bios using award mod tool, but at the end of doing this, I only see this message "no Space insert module" and "cannot write acpi module" what does this mean ?
    I am using vmware 6.5.2 with windows 7 background. My computer motherboard is foxconn g31mx.
    Please help me out!
