If you would like me to upload the edited BIOS or even the bootable ISO automated flash utility including the edited BIOS, let me know :)

Just did that one, too, with the same unpleasant result. According to the tool, modding went OK, but the SLIC is just not in the file.

Forget it. Don't know why, but after trying once more it seems to have worked. Did a quick check with a HEX editor, and it looks like everything is there. Will verify later once Win7 has finished installing. Thank you.

Ok, I tried to do it myself using the method outlined in this guide and everything seemed to work. I used the DELL SLIC and SLP included in the AMITool folder. However, is there any way I can check whether this will work before I flash it? Also, amitool gave me a 1B_SLIC.bin file...what is this for? If anyone can verify the edited BIOS is good, I will gladly upload it.

EDIT: when I click verify with AMITool it says all three checksums are correct.

The 1b_SLIC.bin is for TS and compare to the original. These can be tossed out.

The real test is flashing. The tool is relatively safe, but even a factory flash can go bad..
