Hello! I have succesfully moded the F13 Bios of my Gigabyte 945 DQ6 mobo. I have also installed & activated the Dell key & certificate for Win 7 Ultimate x86. My question is: Can i use the same key & certificate for Win 7 x64? I have absolutelly no time for a failed format... Thank you.
Thanx Yes ofcourse - i am talking about the same machine! Thank you buzykid - i will post when it's done!
I have a Dell Studio Slim 540s with firmware 1.1.3 But no SLIC 2.1 after flashing, i have try everything but no result. I try it with AFUWIN. And i also try it with AFUDOS with setting /p /n /c. Both flash my bios, but no SLIC 2.1 in it. I will wait for a modded bios i think, because this will not help for me. If someone can help me with a modded bios with slic 2.1 it will be great. UPDATE: I also try it by my self to mod my bios. AMI MOD Tool say also that SLIC 2.1 allready in it. But i mod the bios.bin anyway with dell slic 2.1 and certificate etc. I flash it, but nothing and no slic 2.1 ?? I check this with RW-everything in windows vista. Is this ok ? will i see slic 2.1 in windows vista with program RW-everything ? maybe Vista do not support this slic 2.1 ??
i extracted my original award bios. endded up with 5 files ABITFAE AWDFLASH NF7D_27.BIN NF7D_27 RUNME i then followed the tut and after it processed the bios i ended up with a exta 4 files MAIN_SLIC.BIN NF7D_27_SLIC.BIN ISLIC.BIN MAIN.BIN could somebody explain what do do next?? ie...which files need to be copyed to floppy disk.
Delete the: Code: MAIN_SLIC.BIN ISLIC.BIN MAIN.BIN Change the NF7D_27_SLIC.BIN to NF7D_27.BIN and flash with the first bunch of files. Put these files on the disk and flash..by running RUNME.BAT from DOS Code: ABITFAE AWDFLASH NF7D_27.BIN NF7D_27 RUNME Which tutorial are you speaking?? The one at the beginning of this thread is fraught with errors and misinformation.....
