    Total Memory detected is incorrect

Hi Guys, I used the awardtool to make my own SLIC bios pubkey option (with Asus slic, slp), everything seemed to be fine, no errors and the bios file was created sucesfully, then I proceeded to flash my bios (mobo ASUS M2A-VM HDMI), this process seemed to be fine yet, but after the restart windows cannot run, an error message appeared, I noticed that only 127 Mb of RAM memory was detected by modded Bios instead of 3 GB that are installed on the mobo...

I tried to revert back my old BIOS with no luck, the same memory available was detected, only 127 MB..

Can i do something to revive my BIOS, mobo or whatever?

    Thanks in advance

    To Debiamm

I have the same MB and it's working fine.

Here are the BIOS data with and with out slic (Dell).
If you have problems with these bios maybe you should try to change the Ram, or just try with 1 Gb or 2 Gb.

    Hope it helps you.

How to verify a modified BIOS

I added SLIC2.1 to my bios for a ASUS A7V133 with Awardtool using ISA method (method choosen by Awardtool). I created the file without error and even flashed successfully my motherboard.

I am still running XP but would like to verify that the SLIC 2.1 data is really in the BIOS and everything is OK before I install Windows 7.

I ran SLIC_DUMP_Toolkit and it reports in the "SLIC DUMP from Memory" tab

Dump error ( SLIC table not find).

I assume my BIOS does not have the SLIC table.

How do I verify my BIOS has the slic table and is ready for Win7?

    Thanks

edit: I must indicate my motherboard BIOS never had a SLIC table before. I think it might be relevant info...

Use the oem7 method or 0+2 method. I think ISA wil not activate..

To verify you can use the RWEverything program..Load from bios.

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

I tried SSV3, 0+2 and OEM7 methods and they all give errors

SSV3 and 0+2 reported this error "ACPI module must follow main module"
OEM7 reported this error "EPA module must follow ACPI module"
ISA compile OK but does not insert the SLIC table (according to RWEverything)

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks

Edit: I retried with OEM7 and the "ACPITBL at end" switch. It compiled OK but the MB did not recognized my ATA HD. I had to revert to the non-modded Bios

How to extract .rom from .bio (Phoenix, Not AMI)

    Hi,

BIO2AMI works to extract .rom from .bio when the .bio is AMI.

How about Phoenix .bio? Does any one have an idea of how to extract .rom from .bio when the .bio is Phoenix?

    Thanks,

    Kuo

    Asus W2000 W2V notebook bios.

After reading how to mod a bios for SLIC 2.1 Windows 7 usage i ran into a problem using the AMI tool.

    The error log says:
Also it shows a pop-up with the last line.
It doesnt change when i use methods SSV, SSV2, SSV3 or Dynamic.

I downloaded the bios tools from the topic start and the bios from the Asus support site (version 0210A.W2V).

Here my knowledge comes to an end....can anyone get me going again?

    jetway pt88bspro(-ec)

Dear experts I've got a jetway pt88bspro for my hardwar components specs.

this mainboard implements phoenix award bios v6.00pg version and bios is p88bppa7 last version 11/25/2005 dated.

So I would like to know how edit my bios using what tools precisely.

I've got aes cpu but though it is recognized as em64t and ratio on post phase I have multiplier locked in cpu ratio option.

so i think that issue is the old bios which doesn't recognize es cpu or other issue that i don't know.

can you help me please? i'm a newbie....

    that's my specific hardware:

EDIT: does any recent mod bios exist for my motherboard equal to magic pro model or biostar model r any other similar model?

So why does AMI-Tool have "Dell Computer" in the SLP while AWARD-Tool has "Dell System" shipped?
