OK, thanks... but what is it?! Nothing personal, as I have seen you post a lot here, but I am getting nervous about downloading random executables from filesharing sites! Is there a SHA1 or MD5 hash for this?
When I view BIOS Information is cleary stated as American Megatrends Inc. and this should be AMI bios right? But when I open bios(*.wph file) with AMI Slic mod 1.54 I got error not AMI bios. Then I tryed with Phoenix Slic mod v2.14 and is opened successufly. Then is Phoenix bios? Anyway because I use Sony Vaio laptop AW series (preinstalled vista) Bios advanced menu is locked and i wonder if this phoenix slic mod tool besides inserting Slic also unlock bios advanced menu or not. I can also open bios with AMIBCP v4.53 and all columns Show were by default already as YES and access/use column as Default. Even if I change access to User the advanced menu is not displayed inside BIOS. And since this software AMIBCP is from AMI and can open bios file then bios should be from AMI?
Hey guys, thanks for all the info and tools. I've been successful in the past with other MB's....but with my (abit IP35 Pro), I'm not having such luck. I want to use the Mod with Windows 7. I have tried to download the modded bios... (ABIT-IP35 Pro_m629b17_DELL_SLIC_2.1_0+2.rar) ... located here in the: All Slics 2.1 (Modded Bios List) Thread. But the link doesn't work, even when I put it in a PM and preview. So...I tried to do it myself with the award mod tool, but can't get the abit bios zip file to open using 7-zip or winrar. The abit bios (m629b17) is located on the abit IP35 Pro bios list, but because I have less than 20 post, I can't post links. Any help from you folks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bugzy

I'm trying to patch the Sabertooth Z77's latest BIOS (2003 at this time). But I'm getting an error: 'BIOS size is not valid'. Is this because Asus' BIOS are in CAP format now? How do I fix this?
Hello All,I am a total newbie in BIOS modding and have the following issue to be solved: My setup: AMD FX-6300 GA-970A-UD3 rev. 3.0 This CPU has a bug which can be fixed by installing a new microcode. Two questions: - how can I create a BIOS with the new microcode - is it possible to install microcode during the Windows boot process (as far as I know this way it is a temp installation, so needs to be installed at every boot) Thanks in advance!
