    Hello,

I restored Control Panel by disabling redirection to settings app by disabling this feature ID 25175482. It was called DisableCPLRedirection, I had this enabled through Vivetool. But my redirection disabling no longer works and I checked with Vivetool, the feature ID has disappeared from the database.

I did added settings app and Licensingui.exe to firewall but it worked for a few weeks than Windows recalibrated the feature graph either by internal assessment by Tiworker.exe or some binary slipped passed to reach Mickysoft servers. I'm not sure but that feature ID is not missing from the system.

Fortunately I have a backup image that I can restore from bt how do I ensure that this doesnt happen again ? Is there any to freeze the feature state ? what can be done about it ?

Please note, the system has no updates, servicing or any such thing that might intervene with my default config, something else caused it. Also, the reg keys created by Vivetool are still there but they are not honored by system because the underlying graph doesn't acknowledge the feature ID in question.

If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you don't allow any updates, then disable the "\Microsoft\Windows\Flighting\FeatureConfig\ReconcileFeatures" task. This tasks tries to resync the "correct" CFR settings as defined by MS for your build.
