I formatted my laptop and installed a clean Windows 8 Pro as I have my genuine key that I bought for 15 bucks

But the question is, let's say I didn't have this key, I downloaded the Windows 8 (non pro) ISO and burned it to a USB then booted from the USB, the installation gave me an error message saying none of the prebuilt keys match the image I am trying to install.

    what gives?

I tried disabling and enabling secureo ot but both didn't help

anyway, ideally, should secure oot be enabled or disabled if one is trying to install Windows 8 using the built in key?

A moderator from the ASUS forums posted that the key which is prebuilt in the BIOS is an OEM key and the image I was trying to install from is a retail image hence, the error message...is that true?

if it is, then where to get an OEM Windows 8 (non pro)
