You can disable the activation nag editing the registry. Locate the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\Activation

Change the key: "NotificationDisabled" from 0 (default) to 1

LifeFreeDead were you able to find section of the DLL that controls the "Test Mode" watermark?

I have several USB Devices including pic programmers and developmental hardware that has not been finalized. The test mode watermarks irks me just as much as any other user would be irked by the build # etc. DSEO used to remove these watermarks but it is not compatible with Windows 8 yet.

    Great patch!
But a note to the dev: in order to make it work on the spanish version i had to edit the .bat file and change every reference to "administrators" to "Administradores". I guess it may be the same for other languages.

Thanks Guzmanus, that sounds like the "bug" I had. Will try to edit the .bat this evening.
What about collecting those different .bats in Post #1?

I utilised this solution for my Windows 8 Pro x64 MSDN (French)....
The "Windows 8 PRO | Build 9200" has been deleted but the "Activate Windows" is again visible !
I did this solution on a Windows 8 with a CLEAN installation ! (2h after the first reboot on Win8)

How to use this tools in order to not have again this Watermarks.. ? (there are too many tools)

Here is the .bat modified for spanish users. It'd be good to have a compilation as it's been said before.

In this particular case you can solve the problem universally by using the symbolic SIDs instead of user/group names.

Go to MSDN and search for 'Well-known SIDs' (I would post a link but I don't have that ability yet).

    update:
Just back to restart and now it seems that it goes well. It's funny, because you first reboot did not work. It must have been a system failure.

Thanks and regards. Edit my previous message.

    -----Updated-----
    ICACLS "shell32.dll" /grant *S-1-5-32-544:F >NUL
    ---
    ICACLS "twinui.dll" /grant *S-1-5-32-544:F >NUL

    This solution works ;D

Now, another bug :D Restoring the original state won´t work. Script tells me, the .rem files couldn´t be found, although they are in C:\Windows\System32, like twinui.dll.rem. As far as I understood the script, it´s working with systempaths, so why is there another problem? Maybe not language specific this time?

    Thx a lot anyway!
