There are programs that will block spam from reaching your client in the first place. They work according to criteria you specify, e.g. certain words they contain. These are not foolproof in blocking unwanted messages and, more importantly, they can also block a potentially useful message. That's why I recommended in my previous post to put your email filter to exclusive and whitelist only your contacts. This way you can also go thru spam to check for sorting errors.
