This also happened to me, here is what I have done: 1- I uninstalled Office 2016 using the easy fix tool "o15-ctrremove.diagcab" from Microsoft. 2- Rebooted Windows and reinstalled Office 3- Opened Word, Visio and Project and closed them and performed the Token thingy again 4- Successfully activated I don't know what black magic the tool performs, probably fixes a registry entry or a path, but that helped.
Other than OfficeRTool and WOTOK, I used Ratiborus's "Office 2013-2016 C2R Install" (currently v6.0.3.1) which is a complete Toolkit GUI that gives slightly different file strucutre, but it works fine. Also there is "Office 365 ProPlus installation Toolkit", which is an application that will package an Office 365 ProPlus installation into a single Executable or Windows Installer Package (MSI) file that will download and install the chosen components and version of office I now manually download the needed x86 and x64 files to create one ISO, edit the xml files and write a batch file to install either 64bit or 32 bit Office.
What is better? 1. Installation with ODT (ODT, Office 2013-2016 C2R, OfficeRTool ...) Installation procedure: Office files + ODT (setup.exe + xml) -> run OfficeClickToRun.exe with xml limited settings xml settings only retail (volume? install retail and convert to volume), limited id... 2. Installation without ODT (wotok, simple cmd script...) Installation procedure: Office files -> run OfficeClickToRun.exe with unlimited settings retail or volume (without conversion), unlimited id... 2 is better for me. 1 is better for you. OK
I have no all-time particular preference, it all depends on the availability of the software and the most effecient way of deployment at the time.. I am sure this will continue to change as people bring new innovative ideas that utilise technology as it evolves.
Sorry if this was asked already, but what would be the best way to download/install and kms activate a single product (i.e. Word). As of now, the only way I know is to download ProPlusRetail, and exclude all other apps in the config.xml (the download size seems to be the same regardless of what I exclude). Is there a different/better way (in regards to download/installation size)? Most people that ask me to install office for them only want Word & Excel.. Edit: Can I modify the vlsc iso and remove programs?
Microsoft offers Click2Run SingleApp Images, but it is always a full setup package (~2,5 GB). Look here for links -> https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...install-activation.62571/page-75#post-1348707. Office 2016 VL Individual Component (x86-x64) Original from VLSC ISO's for example: "SW_DVD5_Word_2016_W32_English_MLF_X20-41643.ISO" are listed here (scroll down a little).
Apart from what was already told (installing VL version to be able to choose the office programs that you want to install), you can also use another C2R tool installation that will allow you to do the same, it is called "Office_2013-2016_C2R_Install_v5.3" by @Ratiborus, i've already tested it and it works great, this tool allows to convert to VL version as well, i don't know if i'm allowed to upload it here, you can find it on google, i can send it to you in private if you are interested, anyway i just wanted to give this information.
Once again you disrespect developer on this forum Ratiborus is no longer active member here last visit Nov 5, 2012 and his Office_2013-2016_C2R_Install is not developed or supported here.
i didn't want to be disrespectfull to anyone, i just wanted to make that tool known for other members here so they know that they can also cuztomize office programs using C2R application and i don't see how mentionning that tool is a lack of respect to the developper as this thread's subject is C2R office Download/Activation. i respect all the helpers here and i think i've already shown that by the past. So now if you think that my post was disrespectfull, you can remove it and we don't talk about it anymore.
Thank you. If only I remembered everything I "like'd".. Thank you for answering! Thank you. That tool (besides being extremely outdated, latest version is 6.0.3.1), doesn't do anything more (in this scenario) then change the .xml, which I'm already doing manually. Even choosing "Single Product" in his program, all it changes is configuration.xml to: Code: <Configuration> <Add OfficeClientEdition="32"> <Product ID="WordRetail"> <Language ID="en-US" /> <ExcludeApp ID="OneDrive" /> </Product> </Add> <Display Level="Full" AcceptEULA="TRUE" /> </Configuration> Still downloads 1.5+gb Code: 1.77 GB (1,904,902,667 bytes)
You know, I was thinking about you yesterday.. You definitely seem to mean well, so you're probably confused as to why people are upset at you. I think what it boils down to is that at this point, you know a little bit of a lot of things. So on the one hand, you definitely seem to have your hands in everything, but on the other hand, your knowledge/understanding is too superficial. The effect of that is when you respond to people with your ideas/suggestions/answers, although they may be on the right path, are usually not the best answers. Since you definitely seem to have a helping nature, I'd suggest to you, to reach your potential - take a small break from answering things you aren't positive about, and read/learn. Taking more time to read and understand will help you accomplish what you are trying to, and people won't be upset with you. (I've been a member 5 years longer than you, and have half the amount of posts ) Good luck!
OfficeRTool's warning about Monthly Channel Targeted: *** No Build / Version number found in file: * VersionDescriptor.xml * is correct! File "VersionDescriptor.xml" is empty! Nothing usable in there. Hey Microsoft! Wake up! This build is faulty since 2 days and no one noticed?
