Hi ratzlefatz, deeply appreciate your work. Yup 32-bit Office installation is broken. For my case, it ran into this error at around 64% mark. I switched to 64-bit Office image and everything (Office Mondo) installed fine. Both installations were executed on a x64 Windows 10 1803, 17134.112 machine.
I get the same error as Outcast. OfficeRTool Jun. 24 with the following settings: Install a previously downloaded semi annual channel de-DE x86. Office 365 ProPlus Skip everything except Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote.
Updated text: A new OfficeRTool version (2018/June/25) was released today Function "(I) INSTALL OFFICE SUITES OR SINGLE APPS" - (Bugfix) - 32bit/x86 install routine changed. Install from original and renamed download folders should work now. At least it does in my 32bit test environments (Win7 Pro and Win10 1803). Please test and report back. - (Bugfix) - "Office Helper" UWP app should not be installed. This change is experimental as there is no documentation. Please test and report back. No other changes were made. Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
The x86 version Office 2019 ProPlus 16.0.10313.20013_x86_en-US installed and activated on Windows 10 x86. the x64 version is having trouble installing on Windows 7 and 10 x64. I will investigate further later
Thanks to abbodi1406 for GVLK's which will appear in one of the next OfficeRTool versions. I'm testing/fixing 32bit installs on 64bit Windows now.
64-bit at first, when running the local installation (option 1 in the script) there is an error that the system can not find the specified path, and then the installation starts. In turn installation from setup.cmd - only the window about obtaining permission and consent from UAC appears (I have disabled it) and disappears, without any errors and messages, no installation
I have the same problem, x86 setup is not working anymore on the last version Where can I find the last working version of OfficeRtool?
Summary bugs: Tests showed that the installation works only if the downloaded files and the setup.cmd file are in the folder whose name does not contain spaces, the structure 16.x.x.x.x is not required I also confirm that the UWP Office Helper application no longer installs - the problem is solved Suggestion Add a line productstoadd at the end next to excludedapps
I'm getting nerved a lot as you, by the errors appearing with the new method. As the old method with setup.exe from ODT and config.xml file was rock solid, I invested more time to re-enable ODT setup.exe. First tests look promising and I hope to come up with a new "old method" OfficeRTool version tomorrow (maybe even later today), In parallel, new version OfficeRTool additionally will be updated in case I can't get "old method" up and running.
Thank you for all the hard work and time you put into this. I think compared to what you've invested, saying thank you will always be an under-appreciation, but still think it should be said.
