Then it should work. I must admit I done the registry modification, but my updates are from version .1009 to .1015. I have to install a .1014 version to test. Will take some time. If you want the new version right away, then you can make the workaround in JATD, download the VNEXT files offline and install .1015 from within JATD.
@ratzlefatz your registry modification worked on 3 different pcs with installed office 2016 preview, no problem here at all
Question: Is there any problem with installing Office 16 on Enterprise N LTSB? I was try to install on LTSB N and could in either way: directly, downloaded etc. follow the advice in Post #2! A week ago I installed on Pro and that were working just fine! Any advice? Thanks!
Finished tests: Win 10 Enterprise N 2015 LTSB, en-US and Office 2016 ProPlus V.16.0.4229.1015, en-US downloaded, installed and activated with JATD XXXI and Win 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB, en-US and Office 2016 ProPlus V.16.0.4229.1015, en-US downloaded, installed and activated with JATD XXXI No issues. Both installations done without problems. What difficulties do you have?
YES -- All downloads (either VNEXT offline or WEB online) of Office 2016, Visio 2016 and Project 2016 offered by Microsoft are Click to Run versions. Hopefully at release in Fall 2015/September there will be a real Volume License version without that C2R crap.
I have 3 major problems with MS Office 2016: - I downloaded MS Office 2016 Preview (Pro Plus version, not VL) version x.4229.1002 and Windows Update (Windows 10) does NOT detect any updates for it. How and where do I get the updates? - KMS_VL_ALL did not work for Office 2016. It kept detecting Office 2013 installation AFTER I uninstalled Office 2013 and installed Office 2016. Upon every restart, Office 15 (2013) folder (and Client x64 subfolder) in Program Files keeps being re-created even after Office 2013 uninstallation and manually removing that folder. I have a feeling that KMS_ALL_ALL task or something similar is at work here because it STILL detects Office 2013 and so does KMSAuto for some reason. I uninstalled and deleted all Office 2013 folders, I think... - Since KMS_VL_ALL did not work, I used the downloaded KMSAuto Test4 activator, which did work. I selected "Activate MS Office" and I think it converted it to VL edition and activated it. The problem is that I have a legit Windows 10 and by stupidity I logged into to my MS Account with Office 2016! Is that going to be a problem since I have the "Preview" version and its been "Activated" through KMSAuto? *When I was installing MS Office 2016, I used downloaded .ISO that had a launcher for Offline installation, but also a folder for Online installation. I selected Offline installation, disabled network connections, installed, tried to use KMS_VL_ALL, which did not work, then I used KMSAuto, which worked, then I restarted, started MS Word and logged in to my MS account.
@MonarchX, KMS_VL_ALL fails on Retail versions of Office..and as ratzlefatz said, if office not uninstalled properly (which is always for everyone).. If you want, you can provide KMS_VL_ALL outputs in the official thread.. On topic, It is better to install Office 16 on a clean system without prior Office versions, as multiple Office versions are guaranteed to screw license files.
OK, thanks for the help. I think Office 2013 did uninstall mostly correctly. It removed all folders by itself actually and it removed all the updates for it in Windows\Installer folder, freeing up several GB's of space. So far there are no screw ups in licenses or anywhere else, aside from KMS tools detect Office 2013 registration info presence. Does anyone know how to get rid of Office Upload Center?
