I cant activate! Tried all day, every KMS solution I could and yet, no success. Office simply wont activate in my pc. I'm trying to activate Pro Plus "v16.0.4229.1020" 64bit on Windows 8.0 Tried install Office 2013 before this one, also without success. kept giving me a key related error, error "25004" I guess... I had 2010 installed runing without problem. Did everything to completely remove (MS Fix it) all signs of Office from my PC. Can somebody help me?
Thanks for reporting. Just created a new test environment with Windows 10 Enterprise build 10532 and tested newest O2016RTool. Unfortunatedly I can't reproduce the error. O2016RTool starts normally. Main-menu is always shown. No flashing here. For testing please comment out / add REM in lines 5 and 6 in O2016RTool.cmd Code: REM set "o2016rtoolpath=%~dp0" REM (NET FILE||(powershell start-process -WorkingDirectory '%o2016rtoolpath%' -FilePath '%0' -verb runas)&&(exit /B)) >NUL 2>&1 and try again. Start with admin-rights. Any more infos to consider? I installed Windows 10 Enterprise build 10532, en-US, x64 and then immediatedly tried O2016RTool. It was extracted from 7z-archive into a separate folder (not directly in \ - root). Maybe you made some changes in system settings or priorly installed other software which interferes here?
I figured out what my problem was. Whenever there was a new version of the tool I would download using the Edge browser and I would keep the older versions in the download folder. Edge does not give the option to "save as" so each new download would place a number after the file name O2016RTool (1), O2016RTool (2), etc. The program would not work when the folder is named that way. If I renamed the folder to O2016RTool it works. MS really screwed up with Edge by not having an option to "save as" when downloading files.
ok Uninstalled Office 2016 using Fix It, restart. Went to delete the folders, I noticed office folders in Program Files folder, tried to delete it, couldn't, had to rename the extension of the .dll(s) inside to .bak and restart my computer in order to delete it (something related to a "sharedpoint service". Downloaded v16.0.4229.1020 through O2016RTool, tried to install, couldn't, got an error. Deleted the files and downloaded again, still cant install "(error 30182-4 (2), couldn't find a necessary file" I'm stuck in this step... Edit: Tried to instal x86 version and got an interesting error, aparently I still have 2013 installed in my computer. Dont know if its relevant but I have a Dell Inspiron 15 Edit2: Deleted a bunch of registry keys related to office install (Microsoft manual uninstall tutorial) and now I'm able to install Office 2016 again. It fails to activate again.
Strange. wget.exe normally will be copied by O2016RTool from folder \OfficeFixes to \VNEXT-download-path which is z:\Downloads in your case. I just verified and on my testenvironment it is correctly copied. Can't imagine what happened on your system. Is drive z: a network-share? Access-rights are set correctly? Does a Antivirus-Prog. interfere here? For a quick progress you can manually copy wget.exe to z:\Downloads and try download again.
I copied wget.exe to z:\Downloads but the error was the same. I'm running Windows 10 in a VM under VMware fusion on a Mac host and Z:\ is a network share on the host. Permissions are OK and I only have defender running. I tested downloading to desktop in the Windows VM and this works fine (copies wget.exe there and no errors) so it is obviously some sort of issue with VMware shared folders rather than the script. I have since successfully downloaded and activated Office using the Web Setup method.
I don't have the "2.0" folder, but all the files mentioned where in "C:\Windows\System32\spp\store" and "C:\Windows\System32\spp\store\cache" folders. Did what you said, still can't activate, gives me the same error. I tried both with and without a restart in between delete the files and activate. Btw, windows activation is fine, delete those files did nothing to my system.
