Yes you can overwrite and use the newest ODT "setup.exe" without problems.
But the one from OfficeRTool Dec 02 will still work, too. Featurewise it makes
no sense to change it.

 

I'm also on Win10 1903 and O365 updated smoothly and normally to 20244. I have the new ribbon, and most of the features exclusive to O365, but I've yet to see the following:
Ideas in Excel
Simplified Ribbon (shows up only in Outlook)
What's New button present but greyed out.

Are these present and functional in your installation?

Office C2R is universal, 365/2016/2019 have the same installation files

 

When using the script, it only asks me whether I want to download office 2016 or 2019, I can't find office 365 anyhwere.

Office 365 is part of Office 2016, essentially

 

So there's no such thing as an office 365 suite? I thought it was distributed as a different version of office, in contrast to the 201x releases, which you could download via disk image.

 

You apparently didn't even bother to try out the script.

 

Anyone could explain the best way to install fresh Office 365 with new ribbon & icons, and activate it ?

 

I meant with the online web-installer link. It only shows office 2016 or 2019.

Looking at the temp directory, I have the .cab files, but no xml files. Is this normal?

I've downloaded a fresh version of the 7z file, I've disabled my antivirus and firewall. I've tried this on another PC and experience the same problem. Both are Windows 7 64bit OSes.

Now as it worked fine before, I wonder if it's a Windows Update patch that's causing the problem.

Any ideas?

 

Can some kindly provide instruction on activation using the rtool. I can install, convert retail to volume, just won't activate.

For some unknown reason I can't activate and says failed. I have to use KMS_VL_ALL.

 

New Office icons are now online (on Monthly Channel, Version 1904)

What error you get?

OfficeRTool uses WinDivert bypass for activation, it may not work always

 

Just "activation failed". Not a big deal. I doubt I'm missing a step.

 

Any other Antivirus besides Windows Defender running?
If yes, configure exceptions to prevent KMS-activation is interfered by AV.

Update... I've placed the exclusion in my AV and still fails to activate. I've use "kms vl all" to activate.

 

in addition, i can no longer get officertool to run properly . it stops at 'checking office distribution channels for updates'
