Anyone notice office 365 that there is a current update that doesn't update from Version 1903: April 17 (Build 11425.20228)? Tried checking for updates and no pop up box appear even though it says updates available.
Yes I have a similar issue. Have upgraded some of my machines to Win 101903-182362.53. Office 1903 11425.20228 installed and Office 1903.11425.20244 is available but "Downloading Office Updates" seems to just run ad infinitum. Adapter traffic suggests data coming down but the process seems to never complete. Update ... I have managed to get 3 machines to update correctly now. It was however, all a bit hit and miss. One I simply restarted with the downloading splash screen still running after 3 hours and it reported that it was updated successfully and indeed this seems to be so when I checked. The second machine required an "off-line" repair followed by a restart, with the updating dialog still running. The 3rd machine took a full online repair and when I started WORD (without a system restart) it was on the 11425.20244 build. I suspect there is some MSO update component that does not play well with Windows 10 1903, but of course that is just uninformed supposition on my part. Be interesting to see what happens at the next MSO update, although with Win 10 updates likely too in the run up to official May release, multiple variables at play...who knows?
Hi @Ratlefatz - is it okay to /does it make sense to, simply overwrite the setup.exe in your Dec 02 OfficeRtool with the new one from this new deployment tool?
Yes you can overwrite and use the newest ODT "setup.exe" without problems. But the one from OfficeRTool Dec 02 will still work, too. Featurewise it makes no sense to change it.
I'm also on Win10 1903 and O365 updated smoothly and normally to 20244. I have the new ribbon, and most of the features exclusive to O365, but I've yet to see the following: Ideas in Excel Simplified Ribbon (shows up only in Outlook) What's New button present but greyed out. Are these present and functional in your installation?
Do we have to reactivate office insider(or any version of) everytime we update windows insider. thanks all
When using the script, it only asks me whether I want to download office 2016 or 2019, I can't find office 365 anyhwere.
So there's no such thing as an office 365 suite? I thought it was distributed as a different version of office, in contrast to the 201x releases, which you could download via disk image.
Anyone could explain the best way to install fresh Office 365 with new ribbon & icons, and activate it ?
I'm having an issue now getting the updates. It worked flawlessly before, but now, I get: Code: "Public known" standard distribution channels Channel Name - Internal Naming Index-# ___________________________________________________________________________ Monthly_Channel (Retail/RTM) - (Production::CC) (1) Insider_Channel (Office Insider FAST) - (Insiders::DevMain) (2) Monthly_Channel_Targeted (Office Insider SLOW) - (Insiders::CC) (3) Semi_Annual_Channel (Business) - (Production::DC) (4) Semi_Annual_Channel_Targeted (Business Insider) - (Insiders::FRDC) (5) Manual_Override (set identifier for Channel-ID's not public known) (M) Exit to Main Menu (X) Set Channel-Index-# (1,2,3,4,5,M) or X >1 The system cannot find the file specified. find: Available Build: No such file or directory *** ERROR checking: * Monthly_Channel * *** No Build / Version number found in file: * VersionDescriptor.xml * Check file "C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\Temp\Monthly_Channel_V32.cab" Check file "C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\Temp\Monthly_Channel_VersionDescriptor.x ml" Press any key to continue . . . Looking at the temp directory, I have the .cab files, but no xml files. Is this normal? I've downloaded a fresh version of the 7z file, I've disabled my antivirus and firewall. I've tried this on another PC and experience the same problem. Both are Windows 7 64bit OSes. Now as it worked fine before, I wonder if it's a Windows Update patch that's causing the problem. Any ideas?
Can some kindly provide instruction on activation using the rtool. I can install, convert retail to volume, just won't activate. For some unknown reason I can't activate and says failed. I have to use KMS_VL_ALL.
New Office icons are now online (on Monthly Channel, Version 1904) For Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
