Which folder / registry key should I change permissions for? And what should the new permissions be? I've not done this before and would appreciate some help. Thanks.
Check, don't change the folder you extracted C2R-R2V_10 to and registry path HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun
I had a similar issue, it was my avg pc tuneup screwing up my office setup. I suggest disable ALL tuneup security firewall software
I checked the permissions for both the folder and the registry path. For the folder, SYSTEM, Administrators and PC have full control. For the registry path, both SYSTEM and Administrators have full control. So nothing seems to be wrong there. But I think it's a permission issue because I created another temp admin account and it works in that account. Since this is a new installation, I probably will do a fresh re-install without much pain.
Dear all, please forgive my ignorance, but I've got some issue after the activation. Could someone help me here? I've activated successfully as instructed by converting retail version into volume version, and activate after installation of "Office 2013 Retail" and "Visio 2013 Retail Professional", using C2R-Retail2Volume-2013++ and KMS-VL-ALL-7.2RC2. But the speakers on my laptop stopped working, the operating system can't find any speaker installed, and Cisco Webex Teams and Meetings keep popping up. Is there any solution on this situation? I am using Windows 10, Build 1903.
Is there anyway to verify hash of "stream.x64.x-none.dat" for each version? Edit: found it, s640.cab have it
My firewall alerts me that several parts of the Office program are trying to access the internet. Is it safe to allow all of them access (or should I block any particular files) and is it safe to let the programs get automatic updates? The OfficeRTool worked great! Thanks!
Office C2R do not function properly without cloud connection you can try to disable most of them through policy https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1518081/
Is OfficeC2R supposed to be creating two constantly running .exe in the background, OfficeC2RClient.exe and OfficeClickToRun.exe? Serious question - not sure if that's something I should be worried about or just a fake auth server for Office to ping to. Dl'd it straight from the link Abbodi1406's github as per #555.
After installation, it runs only one file (service) in the background. "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\OfficeClickToRun.exe" Other running file you are seeing may have something to do with updating or maintenance, IDK.
I just install office 2019 retail without conversion to volume . i was in such a hurry that i forgot the conversion process . How do i activate it now without removing everything and starting from scratch again. i know that we need to convert to volume and then use kms_vl_all .oops my bad sorry for posting it in office 2016 section . Can the mods please move it to the appropriate section . Thanks
You are supposed to convert from retail to volume after installing anyways so you are almost there. Just run one of the retail to volume tools on the first page of this thread. It will convert your already installed programs. Once converted, then run your KMS script to activate.
