i re-downloaded the same version (x64_16.0.13001.20266) twice - both bit-for-bit identical and both got stuck at 51%. Next morning i downloaded the same version a third time which was had all the same files but two of them had different CRCs to the first two attempts and installed without any problems. i've had this before - i'm not sure what causes it
@ideasman69 : Your download was during MS-Office update time period (1st Tuesday in month). I assume they (MS) had problems with their content on the delivery servers which later caused this 51% install break. I would suggest to avoid downloads on update Tuesday, then wait and start some days later.
Im not trying to be a douche, but i just need to make a post thanking you guys for all your efforts (despite being told not to), you don't know how frustrating it is to not have the knowledge nor the resources or income to register these work appliances, and you just made available as-easy-as-possible the latest versions including auto-renewal to the general public, out of generosity, thank you so much guys
I would like to understand why i do not see an option to download a particular version of office (o365 student, o365 proplus (now renamed), office2019 etc) when creating the cmd bat file with YAOCTRU? Aboddi: just wish to mention that thee aria script is not functional but i think the curl script is
The downloaded files by YAOCTRU contain all needed files that can be configured and setup by YAOCTRI, YAOCTRI will be able to let you select what specific install you want to do with the downloaded files.
Thank you very much for the time spent explaining this to me, as well as modifying a script just for me! Thank you!!
Thanks I did it everything. none of them worked except deleting the latest__xxxx__build.txt files. After deleting and running the tool again solved the issue!
There's this unusual thing that's been happening for some time, when running either OfficeRTool. Now I'm using the 2020Jun12 beta. I've been using this tool for a while now, but never found out what's up with this. I run either OfficeRTool (check for new releases) or the other one, and the cmd would simply close after 0.2 seconds. As admin or by double clicking. If I first open a cmd in the folder and then run it, I can see clearly that the only thing that it does is displaying: Requesting Administrative Privileges... Press YES in UAC Prompt to Continue And now on a freshly installed Windows also. Searched around the web and found a reddit thread where it was believed to be an issue with the path variable. What am I doing wrong? Edit: on Windows 10 20H1, trying to convert & activate my TechBench Office 365
@TinKode Make sure you are running the script from a simple path, i.e. "D:\Folder". Check if your path contains any of these characters, Code: ` ~ ; ' , ! @ % ^ & ( ) [ ] { } + =
@TinKode : UAC error: Do you have some "special" group policy restrictions active? Something like this old report from 2016? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...install-activation.62571/page-51#post-1250210. Never seen this Defender error before. You are the first reporting this. Any other Antivirus software besides Defender active? Would need some more details (Windows version, bitness of Win/Office) to reproduce this.
ratzlefatz - It's a clean installation Windows 10 Home x64, no "organization" settings showing and didn't set up anything special; - I installed the latest available .img for Office 365 on TechBench; - I used OfficeRTool Version 2020/June/12 the second day after and with anything I would do to run the tool, the cmd window closed almost instantly - This has been happening to me for quite some months now, on another pc too. Those other times, I used a different tool to convert and then KMSpiko to activate; - No other Antivirus software besides Defender and I try to keep the list of running programs is pretty slim as it's a gaming pc. I was able to finally run it with the steps I mentioned in the previous comment and I believe the Defender exclusion issue also has something to do with the path variable. The only program that I installed that asked to add to path was Visual Studio Code, it added its bin folder to the user path variable, and there are some nvidia stuff paths into the system path.
@TinKode : Thanks for the detailed report. I will come back to you as soon as possible. But I need to create a identical test environment and check. This will take some time...
Shut down any firewall like Comodo, avg Tuneup software, anti virus, any applications like malwarebytes and any other utility that could prevent OfficeRTool from working. You should also check Windows firewall isn't preventing this app from working. No issues with OfficeRTool on my machine. Works flawlessly 100%.
