I ran the test on the 2019 version, that's why it didn't work for me, in the past the option i suggested works, yes, on the 2016 MSI install.
Hello, Little question... new labtop with office web free preinstalled: can I create an account or should I completely remove it to use yaoctr* and install an other office version beside? I have no reason to remove it but if there is a risk of some kind of licence overlap or anything else, don't know...
Following up again on this issue because I tracked down the exact cause of my 0x80080005 (segfault). It was MacType. The MacType .dll which is loaded to all processes SOMETIMES causes unpredictable segfaults with certain applications. Just disable MacType, reboot, run activation, then activate MacType and reboot again. For anyone with 0x80080005, consider turning off ANYTHING which loads additional DLLs, shell extensions, and so on, for the activation. You can turn stuff back on again after activation.
well, everything seems ok, office 2019 pro plus seems activated+auto updates (yaoctru/i+kms_vl+incantations to god Abbodi, kneeling in front of a candle!). Both versions seems to coexist, a version of onenote was preinstalled so I disabled it in yaoctri to not 'install over it'. But, I disabled skype for business and enabled MS teams hopping to install it but it didn't ..? Now I ran KMS_VL_ALL_AIO (office only+autorenewal) can I run YAOCTRI again and try to reinstall Teams, will I have to reactivate office with kms or 'scrub' office before?.. or is there a way to add a module from the sources.. or maybe, that's really unclear with the new MS mess in office versions, it isn't part of off19? In that case, what should you advice: remove everything and install office365?! The more I think about it, the more I'm telling me it will just be for the record since all major prog (word, excel..) are ok, it's very very more wise to note mess up with anything anyway, again big thanlk to all very skilled people here to share their knowledge and productions and to still find motivation to help others
Always use the latest (v39) if not specifically pointed to use an earlier version. For O365 kms_vl-all activated, yes, iirc.
@Enthousiast I was able to use all tools correctly... Just that the many versions of Office are confusing at first. As always, thanks for your help. Just in case someone else has a similar question: Within a VM, I checked with an O365 install. I logged in using a subscription account, and the extra features in Excel showed up. So, a login is required.
