Yes I understand this. What I mean is that according to my given link, the VL version by default doesn't get updated often as the Retail version, based on the different build numbers in that link. Correct?

Thanks for the info. I have 2 questions about this:

1. Do I still have to do this if I install the Retail version first and then convert it to VL? Does the update channel stay on Current Channel or does it change with the conversion?

2. Can I change the update channel after I've activated Office 2019?

 

Yes, PERPETUAL2019VL update channel controls the updates from Volume Office.
This channel contains/enables less feature updates than other channels, hence the
lower build-#s

No change needed after Retail2VL-conversion. Update channel will stay on "Current".

Retail2VL conversion only installs official MS Volume xrm-ms-KMS-license files on a
Retail Office. This enables possibility for Volume KMS-activation which is not integrated
by default during a Retail install.

stream.x64.en-us.dat.cobra

They appear in the img / iso compilation and are discarded by ODT and YAOCTRU.

Today, out of the blue, I got the notorious "your license is invalid" banner. I remember this being a known issue lately. Would re-running the KMS VL ALL (link here) solve this problem? I don't install the KMS background service but rather run the activation every180 days. Not sure if this method would remove the banner though.

 

I came here with the same problem. It started today. How can we remove this annoying banner?

in my previous windows installation, i installed Office using YAOCTRI and YAOCTRU and it appeared as "Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise" in control panel. now that i reinstalled in new windows, it appears as single office apps e.g. "Microsoft Outlook 2019". where i made mistake and what should i do to install 365 apps?

 

After a few minutes (maybe a restart) the banner came back to stay.

 

Try to reactivate using latest KMS_VL_ALL 41r.
Im using 16.0.13913.20000_x64_en-US_InsiderFast in Windows 10 21H1, no issues so far.

I have a bug. Make the D.I.C.K. with OfficeRTool, the activation is correct, but Office isn't activated.

 

Other Office installed before? -> Remove old Office remnants with OfficeScrubber.
Try "Remove_Licenses.cmd" first. Then convert and KMS activate (C.K.). If this
doesn't work, use "Full_Scrub.cmd". Then install, convert, KMS activate (I.C.K.).

 

Running Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 v2102 (Build 13801.20360 Click-to-Run).

Tried YAOCTRU_v7.3 from post #3152, and everything worked perfect, except now I am where I have the folder entitled, "C2R_Monthly", with all of the, ".cab" file updates, but do not understand how to get those updates installed. AKA, what do I do with that folder?

And secondly, forgive my ignorance, but wouldn't a standard update from within, ...lets say, Word, do the same thing that YAOCTRU just did?

Installed with OfficeRTool 2020/June/12
KMS activated, Conv to volume.
Working fine for months

Suddenly today on starting anything it says 'updateing office' and stops and dies after 2min.
What is wrong?

 

I have a bug to report in 2020/June/12 release.

If there is any space in the office download path when you go to install Office either by local or Install Package the script will return to main menu without doing anything. Renaming download path without a space fixed this bug.

 

I have quick question.. So on my corporate laptop, I am still waiting for activation because IT is working from home. I have office 365 corporate, busniess or how it is called.. And I got only 4 days of trial. I tried that trick to rearm it again, and I again got only 4 days of trial.. it is not possible to get 30days? I dont know even is that legal, because it is companies laptop, but they are so slow in activating office..
