( I get that banner only in outlook. Nothing in word, excel, etc )
Thanks for the output. No reduced functionality is known due to the non-genuine banner issue, so It's up to you.
Thank you. in this case I'll endure the banner. is just mildly annoying but it's at the same time small. I guess that the volume license that OfficeRTool installed at the time, is sort of expired today ?
Not expired but updates since February is somehow detecting the non-genuine KMS license and showing the banner to buy a genuine license. The latest insider updates are more aggressive in this regard. Current channel latest update: 16.0.13929.20372 Perpetual2019 VL latest update: 16.0.10374.20040 Office 2019 on the 'PerpetualVL2019' update channel works because it only gets security updates and not feature updates. To avoid the banner, you can also use Office 2013/2016 VL MSI or Office 2013 C2R.
Gotcha. I guess they got smarter. Quick question... "if" i find one of those cheap 5usd office licenses, would the volume version be reversible to then insert the key ? Or just clicking to change the key and such does it ?
That will work since the current installed Office is already volume. But personally, I would suggest not pay money to them. Office maybe also checking the non-genuine MAK license the same way it is doing for KMS.
Well, I was wondering about those retail ( not volume ) keys that float round on sale here and there. I think that at least part of them are legit ?
Quick update : Today the banner vanished from outlook by itself Edit. Correction, it reappeared after a few minutes
cmd as admin Code: wmic path SoftwareLicensingProduct where (PartialProductKey is not null) get ID,LicenseFamily,LicenseStatus Copy output here.
A new OfficeRTool version (2021/May/18) was released today - Replaced/added latest OfficeDeploymentTool "setup.exe" - Replaced/added latest 3rd-party WGET download module - Added support for "Office 2021", "´Visio 2021" and "Project 2021" full version Attention: To install Office 2021 full (not the Preview!), Office-build must be greater than 16.0.14000.xxxxx. Present, such packages exist in distribution channels "CurrentPreview", "BetaChannel" and of course in "DogfoodDevMain". Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
Not, if you use OfficeRTool's function: [T] DISABLE ACQUISITION AND SENDING OF TELEMETRY DATA I haven't had any license problems/errors/messages/banners since I used this on every new install.
It's safe to install Office 2019 with PerpetualVL2019 channel? (the one that has the old icons = version 1808) Did someone see the banner or non genuine message with that channel?
