This I know.
My question was concerning the different builds - 1001 vs. 1003.
Since 1003 was released a few days ago I thought there should be an update for the versions already installed...

Edit: I used MSI for installation and only installed Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

 

AFAIK, latest updates for office will be released on Patch Tuesday.

Is actual C2R Build now!

 

Today i have tried to use my VL keys with Office 2016 C2R installation which was converted to Volume. It didn't work. So if you are a volume user, you have to use VL version of office. Converted retails do not work

 

Could you please show its key type? Thanks.

(I do no have Office 2016 Volume key. Now I am applying my Volume:MAK Windows 8.1 and Office 2013 to have a check.)

Just an idea: You could copy pidgen- and pkeyconfig-files from VL to C2R:

pidgenx.dll, pkeyconfig.companion.dll and pkeyconfig-office.xrm-ms

pidgenx.dll and pkeyconfig-office.xrm-ms are identical.

The difference is in pkeyconfig.companion.dll

They are located in:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\OFFICE16\Office Setup Controller

And then try to enter VL-MAK key in C2R and see if it will be accepted.
I didn't have a MAK key, so its just a guess that this may work.

If he converted C2R with O2016RTool then MAK*.xrm-ms certificate files are inserted, too.
So they should already be active.

 

Maybe he did not use your tool. Wait for him and see how he had done with the conversion.

Maybe Office 2016 changed? Oh, I had better find an Office 2016 Volume:MAK Key and see.

Thank you for testing. Your results are based on Office 2016 VL_KMS.
Maybe VL_MAK acts different? And there is still the different "pkeyconfig.companion.dll".

I'm curious to hear from cengizhan how its going using MAK.

i have used O16-C2R-Retail2Volume which was in this thread, not O2016RTool . i had forgetten to say that my office 2016 says that it is activated. but i didn't use any key and i can't use my own MAK key.

 

What version is your Office 2016 C2R? And is your key Office 2016 Volume:MAK?

Or, could you please run the command with Command Prompt (Admin), and show the result:
