OK, now i understand why you are that short when it comes to double-installs. Never tested the madness of O 14+15 on a Win 7, but after 8 i can imagine it a bit . In case Office Install is completely broken i also started to highly recommend a fresh OS install, since uninstalling Office isn't possibe in that case. And due to the Tokens mess one won't get rid of it. I also pray for a VL build soon. Trying to support C2R crap needs the triple of checks of a VL build . Additionally that nasty Virtual Registry here .
Anyone know how to get OneDrive for Business 2016 in all this? did a quick search and didn't find anything solid. Running Windows 10 and Office 2016 both kms activated.
Thank you! This is the result so far: Code: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\ProductReleaseIDs\119C584C-1489-4898-AD55-D6735F8C8F14 ConfigSourceType REG_DWORD 0x1 Modifier REG_SZ 16.0.4229.1004||ProjectProRetail.16_en-us_x-none|VisioProRetail.16_en-us_x-none|||| Original REG_SZ WorkingDir REG_SZ C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\ClickToRun\119C584C-1489-4898-AD55-D6735F8C8F14 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\ProductReleaseIDs\119C584C-1489-4898-AD55-D6735F8C8F14\culture HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\ProductReleaseIDs\119C584C-1489-4898-AD55-D6735F8C8F14\ProjectProRetail.16 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\ProductReleaseIDs\119C584C-1489-4898-AD55-D6735F8C8F14\VisioProRetail.16 So far, the activation status of all Office apps (while I use 2010+2013+2016 in parallel, I don't mix applications and only have one Excel, one Outlook etc installed) seems unchanged and well... of all those that have worked before. I will do a clean-install (with win10 official rtm + o2013/2016) in a month, in the meantime I have to continue to use my admittedly strange mix off Office app versions.
Interesting, JATD is looking for exactly the shown entries of your output. Wait a short moment, i'm just assembling a little manual conversion tool, you can test.
Maybe he's a lucky 30 percenter. He can test with the manual script, not that much to loose now . Just testing it in VM to not ship with slips.
First, thank you. second, sorry for the stupid question.. i actually KNEW this and i am so used to running proplus I didnt think to check what the preview site gives.. ugh.
@ ratzlefatz In post #4 where the multi-install is handled you should add that users who want to check out but don't want to uninstall old versions, should do in a VM. That would avoid a lot of hassle and can be done even with VMware Player : Only the ones that know how to handle the eventual mess should use a multi-install IMHO.
sorry for interruption, is this still C2R or have we progressed beyond that crap finally? and thank you s1ave77 & ratzlefatz for this thread
Use the online activation part in the little script, it will activate against online host. Just tested it works . Hostname ist set automatically.
My apologies if I came or come across as ignorant; I might have missed to make my point more clear: I'm not installing the full office suite in any case, I'm only hand-picking which version of which office application I'm using (so far Outlook 2010, Word/Excel/Pp 2013 and Visio/Project 2016 - I sadly require very specific features of each and every one of those.) I'm running all this on Windows 8.1 pro and so far it works well... but I admit this is not something I'd recommend to anyone as it may break with any update and I'm fully aware of that. The only thing I might change in the near future is the OS (to win10, not sure which edition yet), the applications might stay the same (mix).
