i want to convert to office standard edition I want to use only office home student retail edition, but kms only supports vl editions, but you only giving script for pro plus convertion, I wish to convert to standard edition
"Office 2016 Home and Student" or "Office 2016 Home and Business" can't be converted to VL. Go and get yourself ProPlus.
I installed office 2016 home & student, activated by kms, license showing office professional plus. but what happen when I will update office. does it download whole img & if yes then which edition will be downloaded
Technically, conversion and activation may work, but it is unsupported as "Office Home and..." are separate products which are not designed to be treated as VL/KMS capable. Compared to "Office Standard" and "Office Professional", they are not complete and miss some Modules. I will stay on the right track. If you want to use "Home and..." as special case, then you must go and try for yourself what will happen at the next update. Anyone else out there with experiences who can help?
Hi there, Unable to install, getting error 30029-1015 Used Vnext setup O2016RTool (version March, 09) With this XML Spoiler <?xml version="1.0"?> -<Configuration> -<Add OfficeClientEdition="64"> -<Product ID="MondoRetail"> <Language ID="es-ES"/> </Product> /> -<Product ID="ProjectProRetail"> <Language ID="es-ES"/> </Product> -<Product ID="VisioProRetail"> <Language ID="es-ES"/> </Product> </Add> <Display AcceptEULA="TRUE" Level="Full"/> <Updates UpdatePath="****://officecdn.microsoft****/pr/492350f6-3a01-4f97-b9c0-c7c6ddf67d60" Enabled="TRUE"/> </Configuration> Then used web setup and ok
I am too getting 30029-1015 error. Tried with the latest 16April O2016RTool and the previous version. Both downloaded the exact same files so I'm pretty sure MS servers are sending the right ones. I tried installing using auto generated xml file and even tried the following one: Code: <Configuration> <Add OfficeClientEdition="32"> <Product ID="MondoRetail"> <Language ID="en-US"/> </Product> </Add> <Display Level="Full" AcceptEULA="TRUE" /> <Updates Enabled="TRUE" UpdatePath="h"not allowed to post links"p://officecdn.microsoft.com/pr/492350f6-3a01-4f97-b9c0-c7c6ddf67d60" /> </Configuration> But both of them failed with the same error. Between these 2 attempts I tried the web install which succeeded in installing ProPlusRetail but I would prefer a Mondo install, therefore I uninstalled ProPlus few moments later. Any help will be appreciated. EDIT1: Tried all the solutions in post #4. Even used MS office uninstallation which failed to troubleshoot(i think thats good). EDIT2: Attempting Installation of 16.0.6769.2015 Retail branch. Win 7 x86 fresh installation(almost) with all the latest updates.
Setup: 30029-1015 error Setup-error confirmed. Test environment: Windows10 10586 x64, Office x86 Mondo en-US First test: "Insider/Preview" Branch 16.0.6769.2017 setup is working. Second test: "Current/Retail" Branch 16.0.6769.2015 setup gives error. Reason not yet known, but I assume MS changed something on the content delivery servers. Investigation is running. Please give me some time...
Great MS! Already wasted 5.24 Gb bandwidth. Anyways, is there any advantage/disadvantage of using Insider branch. I mean does MS still transmit *anonymous* files data to their servers, specifically on Insider branch?
Guess what happened: "Current/Retail" Branch got a very fast update to 16.0.6769.2017 !! Yes, it now has the same version as "Insider/Preview". Just downloaded the new .2017 Current Branch with O2016RTool and setup continues without problems. I "like" these MS guys
There will never be a final version because Microsoft tends to alter the activation process every so often. Not that that really matters. Besides that, just using the O2016RTool already works fine, my office 2016 has been activated for ages without issues. No need to wait.
