I see, I have used the morph transition before but when I updated to the latest version, the morph went missing.
So if I used KMS Activation on office 2016, did office update via WU will be ok, no blocked office update from m$? Sorry, I'm new about this (usually I bought it) .
Apologies if this is already effectively answered and I have not managed to find / understand the answer. Having effectively used the O2016RTool to sucessfully download and create off-line optical install media for the 2016 perpetual licence product, I am wondering if it is somehow possible to use the O2016RTool or the MS deployment tool (or both) to download the 365 product files and convert them into a VL deployment for KMS activation? I am particularly interesed in the Morph feature in PowerPoint which is apparantly only available to subscription users. Perhaps identifying and replacing the appropriate .cab file in the 2016 deployment with the 365 one could achieve this? I suspect I am being naively simplistic in my limited techincal knowledge, but I thought i wouls ask anyway! Thanks.
Many thanks for coming back so quiclky and positively on this. I did somehow manage to tinker around and download and install the 365 using product tag O365ProPlusRetail (although I did have to be online to do tihs - obviously didnt get my xml file right.) I could see that the Morph transistion in PP was available. My main problem seemed to be that although the VL conversion seemed to work okay (Ratiborus AutoKMS 1.4.3) activation didnt happen. TBH I didnt try activation with O2016RTool so maybe this is the problem? I am very confused by the plethora of KMS tools around and I guess thay are not all born equal? I notice you "recommend" the hotbird offering used in O2016RTool. Is there a specfic reason why this is favoured -in terms a relative laynman might understand? Thanks again.
I got same issue. Brand new HP laptop with Windows 10 Professional, removed preinstalled Office, rebooted, downloaded Current Channel Version with O2016RTool, installed Mondo, converted. But when I try to activate I got that message. What can I do?
I installed Pro Plus 2016 with your tool on my home desktop successfully months ago (current channel), successfully activated and kept it updated so now I got v16.0.6965.2063. I can't see Morph Transistion. Do I need to uninstall, redownload and install it again? PS: I had troubles on a new HP laptop as I said in a previous post, but it's another PC.
It's encourgaing to know that, even someone who obviously knows what they are doing, still finds this MS licencing and deployment model daunting and difficult to comprehend! Gives hope to the rest of us! Starting to play with the beta tool now. Thanks for the heads up in previous post - i initially missed the 365 option not realising that a "0" response to the ProPlus option was the way to bring it up. So far so good.
@ratzlefatz, Good tool, but it does not have exit/return upon erroneous choice, example: If you choose install before download, you cannot go back to the previous menu!! This makes experimenting with choices tedious. The manual may need to be revisited with clearer and updated examples. Thanks, Simple.
OK, I will look at the checkouts and the manual. But I don't want to blow up things with trivia. Is there (from your latest experiences) any special issue/suggestion which should be considered? I see, there is some lack of information in the manual on how to install Office 365 ProPlus to get the MORPH-transition functionality in PowerPoint. The Install selection starts with: Set Office 2016 ProfessionalPlus Install (1/0) > To get to the next selection item, choose "0" to de-select Office 2016 ProPlus install or simply press <return> as "0" is pre-selected. Set Office 365 ProfessionalPlus Install (1/0) >1 Activate Office 365 ProPlus install by entering "1" In the following Exclusion List you can disable the install of each Office Application. Full Suite Install Exclusion List - Disable not needed Office App Disable Word Install (1/0) >0 If "1" is entered, then the app (here: Word) is disabled and won't be installed. "0" enables the app installation. As "0" is pre-selected, you can step through the Exclusion List by pressing <return>. This results in a complete install of the Professional Plus suite. I hope this clears things about Office 365 ProPlus installation. Above explanation will be included in manual at next release.
