This is for .MSI based Office, not C2R volume office ISOs already contain admin folder, just replace it with new one
Just to be clear, microsoft office 2016 Volume License is the version I want since it has the most features? And what is the difference between the two activators: O2016RTool and KMS vs VL ALL? Also very important question concerning "Multiple TAP-WIN32 Adapter OAS" drivers under network drivers in device manager: I noticed with my previous microsoft office 2013 installation was having a bunch of these "Multiple TAP-WIN32 Adapter OAS" drivers under my network drivers, is there a way around this while having microsft office continued to be activated?
Thanks so much ratzlefat for taking your time and helping me understand. I'm going through the manual installation of 02016Rtool right now now. My questions is: I have selected Office 365 since it's the latest version of office that I know of. Is there any benefit or reason I should be using office 2016 instead?
ahhhh I see. Thanks for the explanation This probably has been answered, but wasn't able to find the answer in the thread. Is there a way to download the latest VL build without having to install the RTM ISO and then update ? The only way I know of would be to download the updates separately and slipstream them.
Office 365 ProfessionalPlus is ok. There seems to be no major differences between "Office 365 Client" and "Office 2016" if they are downloaded / installed from the same distribution channel.
Unfortunatedly, NO. Microsoft didn't produce a new, refreshed installation media. So the "latest" Volume RTM-ISO is still 16.0.4266.1001. YES that's still the -only- way. We are all hoping that MS - after 1 year has nearly passed - will publish a new Volume-ISO-Image.
Is there any way to activate Office 365 with an activator???? Is better use a Office 2016 C2R instead Office 365 C2R???
How could i get The 6 new Functions in Excel? , i have the latest build installed Click2Run 16.0.7167.2036, but no luck
Thanks ratzlefatz for the thorough reply, as for the vesion installed it is Office 365 ProPlus build 16.0.7167.2036 "First Release for Current" ,but as i mentioned long before i had two early builds that had the 6 new Functions : build 16.0.6568.2025 and build 16.0.6568.2036 but the new updates removed these Functions , still waiting for a solution
Just checked both new Insider test environments. Neither "Office 2016 ProPlus" nor "Office 365 ProPlus" has them. Strange thing: After install and starting Excel yesterday for the first time, I got a little news window stating that "publish to docs.com" is integrated now. But I didn't find it. There was only "publish to Power BI" listed. Word however had "publish to docs". After checking again today "publish to docs.com" suddenly appeared in Excel "Publish"-menu. Automatic silent update...? But the new functions are still not available. I'm curious if there is an active Office 365 subscriber using Insider build who can tell us if his/her Excel version got these functions and what build # the Office Excel client has. It's not the info from File -> Account overview. We need File -> Account -> About Excel. My Office Insider 16.0.7167.2040 now lists Excel client version: 16.0.7127.1021
