My 7331.1000 installation updated itself to 7405.1000. But I downloaded and installed 16.0.7405.1000 (any way) and sure enough, Morphing would only appear after converting the license to Volume!! However, I saw a reference to "Office 365 ProPlus Install Kit", a tool to convert Click to Run into MSI, is it available somewhere?
Yes, morphing slides will not play if Office 2016 is not installed on target computer. As there doesn't exist a Powerpoint 2016 Viewer, you can only publish presentation as video and show. Where does this screenshot come from?
Hi, more info there:hxxxs://cianallner.com/office-365-proplus-install-toolkit/ Toolkit come from: hxxp://officedev.github.io/Office-IT-Pro-Deployment-Scripts/XmlEditor.html - click on Install Toolkit
Thanks ratzlefatz, but I wanted the proofing tools DVD because it has more tools (like OCR) than the various packaged languages and it would also have one reference in "Programs and features". I was hoping to get the C2R to MSI tool to overcome this issue, until Ii get a copy of the full C2R Proofing tools.
InsiderFast 16.0.7409.1000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration] "ClientVersionToReport"="16.0.7409.1000"
For those who are having problems with creating a C2R MS Office ISO that installs from different drive letters on different computers (due to variable and NOT absolute path), ensure that the setup files are NOT in the root directory of the Virtual DVD and SourcePath="" in the XML configuration file. That's to say, when you mount the ISO, the first thing you see is a folder and NOT the installation files, you then open the folder to see the setup files.
Hey guys. I installed and activated my office with O2016RTool via web installation and just wondering if it is possible to find the location where the office is downloaded to. I need the setup files. Thanks
You can't. During [O] Online Web-setup, the files are streamed in stages into %TEMP%-folder and as setup proceeds they are removed/truncated. If you need a full setup-package, then you must use O2016RTool's offline [D] download function.
Hi . Just as small point..I have noted recently that in trying to install 2K16 to a 32 bit machine that the Product Branding ID / Product name etc "Microsfft Office 365 ProPlus" does not seem to be honoured correctly and that the product is branded as "Microsoft Office Professional Plus". I think that the script changed recently and the code that manipulates the keys "3AD61E22-E4FE-497F-BDB1-3E51BD872173" and "D450596F-894D-49E0-966A-FD39ED4C4C64" is working differently? (It looks different in this area - but i am not a scripter!). I have not encounted any issue with installing x86 program to an x64 OS machine. Also a supplementary question..do both these keys need to change or is it just "D450596F-894D-49E0-966A-FD39ED4C4C64" that matters? Changing them manually solves the problem, but of course this is lost again at the next update. Hope this does not come across as nit-picking! Just hoping you can make a great tool even better! Thanks.
Thank you for reporting. I will look into that. You're welcome. Suggestions and bug reports are highly appreciated.
You are right, I just noticed the channel change in O2016RTool. By the way, it is an excellent tool. I think you have one of the best (Retail to VL) change implementations; thanks. With respect to ending the C2R processes, I noticed during testing that in some occasions, there may be more than one process lurking, and unless they are ended the new change will not picked up. It is a common practice to restart PC after Registry changes, so I thought it is better to advise the restarting of the process. Just a little notice; we usually make changes directly to the Registry, which may not be reflected in the Group Policy. Once the "gpupdate /force" is used, changes made in the registry would be reverted to whatever in the Group Policy.
