Strange fact: I have verified updates on Office and downloaded v. 1701 (1766.2060) as showed after verifing O2016RTool updates. The Office gave a new update... Strange. EDIT: this was a temporary bug, but is resolved....
Yes, after today's Windows Insider build it was at 30 days. A scheduled task should be good to workaround that problem. Do you happen to know at what point activation warnings start? I know it's not at 30, and I've gone down to 17 or so, still with no warning. Maybe it can go all the way down to 0, in which case no scheduled task would be needed, since perhaps only once a year will a whole month go by without a new Windows Insider build. An unrelated question: The "What's New" icon on the Account page in Word, Excel etc is greyed out. Is that normal for a VL-style Office?
Hi there, I have one question. Does Office 2016 Home and Student Volume version exists or it's only available via Retail? Thanks
Hi new to the forum just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work on this. I wanted to ask why does office not show when I go to my account on word or outlook that my product is activated? Is that normal? Sorry for being ignorant I'm just new to this forum and learning how to do this stuff. I just got a new computer and I'm having to relearn everything after my old computer of 10 years died on me. Also I used the new O2016RTool and it showed me that the product was active and had 180 days left on it but it's not showing up in account when using any of the programs like word, outlook or excel. Thank you for your help!
YES, that is normal. On Office Click2Run versions, product brand name and activation info was removed by Microsoft in October 2016. Now only "Office logo" is shown after successful activation, nothing more. You are good. Nothing to worry.
There exists no Volume "Home and Student" or "Home and Business" version. Only Retail. They cannot be downloaded by Microsoft Office Deployment Tool. And they cannot be converted and activated by any KMS solution. Therefore it's not offered by O2016RTool.
And the 64 bit edition is: SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2016_64Bit_English_MLF_X20-42432.ISO Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus v16.0.4498.1000 VL February 2017 x64 and x86 are also available.
