I am having trouble since the Creator's Update was installed on my computer by stupid Microsoft. I ran the latest version of O2016RTool and it told me there was a new Office 2016 build. I uninstalled the old version, I even used the uninstaller recommended by Microsoft and I disabled my virus and firewall including Windows Defender and no matter what I do I keep getting this error message shown in this post. There were no errors in the download itself it was not until I went to install Office that I ran into this problem. I followed all the advice given in the readme and on these threads to troubleshoot this and I also ran a system file check for any errors and there were none. I've been all over the internet trying to research the answer to this problem. Do I need to reinstall Windows for this to work? Can anyone help me understand what is wrong here or what I am doing wrong and how to fix it? Thank you for any help I'm desperate here. I need access to my office stuff in order for me to do my job I work from home.

    Error message as follows:

    System Restart required

Sorry we ran into a problem. Please try again after restarting your computer.

    Error Code: 30175-11 (5)

I will create a new test environment to investigate your case.

You are running Windows 10 Creators "Professional" or "Home" or "Enterprise" ?
    Windows architecture 32bit/x86 or 64bit/x64 ?

Which Office distribution channel "Current/Retail" or "Insider Fast" or "Insider Slow" ?
    Which build number ?
    Office architecture 32bit/x86 or 64bit/x64 ?

    Windows 10 Creators Home 64bit/x64

I tried both Insider Fast Channel and Current/Retail both gave the same error message on installation attempt. I used the same build 64bit/x64.

Thank you so much for your quick response! This is making me crazy that I can't fix it lol. I was about to reinstall Windows 10. Thank you again for this!

Thank you. Now that I got all needed info, I will start investigating.

    Temporary Update:
Not that important update you are waitung for, but another scenario I already had is working:
    - W10 Creators Professional, build 15063.13, 64bit/x64
    - Office 2016 Insider Fast, build 16.0.8029.1000, 32bit/x86

W10 Creators Home is just installing...

Wonderful! Thank you! Its 1am here and I got a dental appointment early in the morning but I will check back and see what the results are. I sure hope this can be fixed. I rely on Office to do my job and I can't really work without it.

So what does this mean is it me? Or the tool and the download causing me issues?

Ok going go try again and see if it works even download a new tool again to be sure I do the same thing again. If it doesn't work? I'm reinstalling Windows 10 I guess. Thank you for your help! If you find anything else, please let me know!

I have a question. If I installed the lastest build of Office before installing Creators update would the creators update disable my copy of Office or will it still work?

You probably won't believe me when I tell you this lol but I got it fixed! Last night after my last post I used windows 10 tool from Microsoft and I reinstalled the operating system only leaving the apps and data alone for now to see if that would help. I also tried using a program called ccleaner which you are probably aware of. It deleted a bunch of Office registry keys and that is when I decided to try the Microsoft Office uninstaller yet again. I did what you said and ran it twice. The results were different this time leaving me to believe it had really truly removed all of Office from my computer. I downloaded the software again, reinstalled, converted AND activated! Not one single error! How do you like that! I was going to reinstall Windows and allow it to completely wipe out the hard drive and start fresh but no need at least for now anyway. This computer is only a few months old and I don't want to do something that drastic just yet. Thank you for all your help I really do appreciate it! I will be staying tuned to this thread and watching for more updates! I just pray Microsoft does not release a new build every 5 minutes or I will have to consider an alternative to Office sheesh!

Just tried to download "Current" version, "16.0.7870.2031", "en-US", both "x86" and "x64" and had no problems.:g:
All files were fetched. No errors at all.

"ERROR 403: Forbidden" isn't caused by O2016RTool - Looks more, like there was a problem on Microsoft's Office
content delivery servers. I suggest to redo download.

Hey I have a question. I am wondering if this is not what might have caused my problems I had with not being able to remove Office completely from my computer so I could start with a fresh install of Office. I ended up having to do a complete format of my harddrive anyway and reinstall Windows 10 fresh. Now I'm wondering if disabling the telemetry options for Office using the O2016RTool would create an issue with not being able to completely remove Office from the computer which I tried to do after I installed the Creator's Update. That make any sense at all and is that possible? Thanks!

When using MS FixIt-Tool, adding / disabling or changing telemetry relevant
registry entries and scheduled tasks does not impact uninstall procedure.

But CCleaner, TuneUp and all those other "little helpers/optimizers/repairers"
could be responsible. I do not use them. Because they do more harm to the
    system than they really "help".

Ok thank you for that then it was probably something else and yeah I agree that ccleaner was a bad idea but it doesn't matter anymore. I wiped out the computer and did a fresh install of Windows 10. I still miss Windows 7 and I REALLY wish that Windows 10 was not so complicated and overwhelming. I still get an occasional msdosprompt window open and close real fast on my screen and it happened earlier after reinstalling my printer and rebooting the computer. Not sure what that is or why it's doing it but at least my computer seems to be working ok now. Thank you for answering my question!

    Hi,

I just updated a CURRENT channel build to the latest version 16.0.7967.2082.
This seemed to come hot on the heels of of build 16.0.7870.2038 (only 2 days ago) so I am guessing there was problem with 16.0.7870.2038?
I have noted also that in the Product Information page under Accopunt there is absolutely no information now about the build level.
I have observed this on more than one machine now,
Can anyone confirm similar or otherwise? (Info in Program and Features listing is correct.)
    (Running on latest Win 10 - 1703 )
    Thanks

How to see Office build outside Office 2016? I don't see office build number after I updated to latest version.
    Edit: Is because this: mmmm.PNG
